Rovio, makers of all things avian and angry, have released a new game into the Angry Birds franchise called Angry Birds Action! The game is currently being rolled out softly in a few select regions, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out yet. That being said, the game fits the mold of prior releases, where players will pull back on Red, and then let him loose to bounce around a variety of outdoor structures (sound familiar yet?), to see what can be taken down.

There’s a birthday happening today, or as Rovio is calling it, a BirdDay. Angry Birds is turning the big ole 6 years old today and while Rovio is planning to celebrate the BirdDay in a few ways, one of those ways is to give out a trip to Piggy Island in the Bahamas to one lucky winner and a friend.
Rovio releases Angry Employees. It’s not a game though, it’ll soon be a third of their workforce
Angry Employees, it’s not a new game from Rovio, although it is something Rovio has created. Today the company has announced that they are downsizing their workforce, and will be letting go roughly a third of their staff who will soon be needing to find new jobs. In total that is 213 people who will be leaving Rovio.
Rovio has pushed out a duo of Halloween-themed updates to two of their games, Angry Birds Pop! and Angry Birds 2. Like any good Halloween type of update, both of these are filled with zombies. Of course these are zombie pigs, all of which you will have to deal with in all the new Halloween-themed levels that have been added to each game.
It has been a bit since we posted anything related to Angry Birds so we figured that all of the franchise’s fans out there would want to know when they first trailer for the Angry Birds movie shows up. Rovio has released a new mobile game that has nothing to do with anger or birds, or Angry Birds for that matter. The new game is called Nibblers! and is a match-3 puzzle game that features strange looking fish and other sea creatures instead. There also happens to be plenty of fruit as well.
Rovio’s new sequel to the Angry Birds game got updated with a whole new chapter added to it called Pigsyland. Like with previous Angry Birds games that get new chapters, Pigsyland brings with it a bunch of new levels that players will need to work their way through.
[Update: Released] Rejoice ye Angry Birds fans! Rovio shall be bringing us thy sequel you’ve always wanted: Angry Birds 2
So Rovio has announced that an official sequel to Angry Birds will be arriving at the end of this month. That’s right Angry Bird fans, you will soon be able to download Angry Birds 2 on July 30th. The announcement originally came via a Tweet (followed by an official blog post) from the official Angry Birds account with a statement of “Bigger. Badder. Birdier. July 30th”. Accompanying the statement was a giant number 2 image with a very angry looking red bird inside the two.
A couple of days ago we reported on Sonic Dash and the fact that the game has broken the 100 million downloads mark, which is the total amount of downloads across all platforms. At that time there was mention of a special event that would be taking place to celebrate this feat, and that there would be special guests showing up. However those special guest were not announced and wouldn’t be until today. So who are they? Well it is the Angry Birds.
Rovio has released a new trailer for their upcoming Angry Birds Fight! game and while this may not be on the level as the first two trailers, there is still a level of strangeness to this trailer. Admittedly, as strange as these trailers are, they are also somewhat entertaining, sort of like when you see a car accident, you can’t help but look a little bit at least.
