GameStop has expanded into the mobile market even further by announcing the availability of Android tablets in more than 1,600 of its stores across the United States. There are a handful of tablet models right now, which should be enough to prevent GameStop customers from getting overwhelmed. You can also purchase the tablets online with free shipping.
Our friends over at AndroidNZ went through and did a nice review of the Samsung Galaxy S III phone. When doing their reviews they also like to test out controllers, mostly because the crew over there happen to play a lot of Android games like we do. Good news is a few controllers work right out of the box.
It looks like the pre-orders for Samsung’s newest high-end Android phone, the Galaxy S III, has jumped the borders of the UK and are now available for U.S. residents to pre-order. Both the white and blue models are up on Amazon for pre-order at a cost of $799 and up.
Android gamers who own a Samsung Galaxy SII phone and are using an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM have some good news today thanks to our resident behind-the-scenes tech nut RedDragon. It looks as though all ICS ROMs from Samsung for the Galaxy SII can now use the WiiMote when playing games on your device.
While the rest of us here in the U.S. have to wait to get our hands on Samsung’s latest addition to the Galaxy line of Android phones, the Samsung Galaxy S III, UK residents can now begin pre-ordering it off of Amazon UK. The only difficult question you will be facing is what color you want.
So far it seems like the Galaxy Nexus has seen its fair share of sales already on various carriers such as Verizon which was offering it up for $50 recently on Amazon and Wirefly. Now Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus is on sale for new customers or any customers upgrading.
Qualcomm is setting out to break a Guinness World Record at this year’s E3 conference by holding what they hope will be the longest video games marathon. At E3 2012 Qualcomm, along with qualifying participants, will be sitting down for at least 26 hours playing Android games on a Samsung Galaxy 8.9 tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII event happened and during it there happen to be pictures shown of Gameloft’s as of yet announced newest addition to their popular racing game series. Asphalt 7: Heat as it will be called is now officially announced for both iOS and Android devices.
The T-Mobile crowd were understandably disappointed when they learned the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Sensation 4G wouldn’t happen in April. Considering the fact that Sensation models were the first HTC devices to receive the upgrade, it’s a real punch to the gut knowing several other devices are passing it by. T-Mobile isn’t giving us any potential release windows, but an internal document obtained by Tmo News gives specific launch dates for ICS on three smartphones.
It seems as though more news regarding the Nexus brand is starting to come out today. Yesterday we saw the Galaxy Nexus arrive on the Google Play store in an unlocked HSPA+ version for $399. While we wait for the inevitable release of Google’s tablet, news about the next Nexus phone is starting to come out.
