It’s Friday which means it is time again for another round-up of the Android games that are on sale for this weekend. This week’s round-up is half made up of new titles going on sale, and the other half being repeats from last week. So if you missed a game last week, there’s a possibility that you can still get it on sale.
One of the highly anticipated games many people have been waiting for is Borderlands 2 for the Nvidia Shield devices. It’s been pegged as coming soon for a rather long time, but if you’ve been waiting for it you can now finally go grab a copy. Even better, you can win a free copy of Borderlands 2 from us.
Nvidia is holding another one of their sales, this time it is for a selection of titles available on their streaming service called GeForce Now. In this particular sale, Nvidia has placed 6 titles in total on sale, most of which are 75% off their normal prices. You also get a download code for a PC copy of each game you buy for free.
The XDA Forums always has some good content to check out, especially if you’re into modding your Android device using ROMs. However, a user has figured out a way to swap out his SSHD in his Nvidia Shield Android TV Pro with that of another new SSD. The Pro version already comes with 500GB of storage, but if you want to increase that, or put in a replacement SSD or another reason, then you can do it now.
As you know today is Amazon’s Prime Day and if you were participating in last year’s Prime Day, then you already know what to expect. If you’re new to this, essentially this is a day full of big deals only available to Prime members. Fans of Android puzzler Chuck’s Challenge are getting a major new update today as Chuck’s Challenge Ultra 2016 launches on Android and Nvidia Shield via Google Play. The update introduces a slew of substantial visual and gameplay enhancements to the game.
Starting Thursday, June 23rd and running until Sunday, June 26th, Nvidia Shield owners can get six games up to 75 percent off during Nvidia’s new Shield family game sale. The four-day sale includes Android games available on Shield as well as titles that can be streamed via Nvidia’s cloud-based GeForce Now service.
Previously released exclusively for Nvidia’s Shield TV platform, Never Alone is a platformer that is being released generally on Google Play late next month. In Never Alone, players will assume the role of Nuna, a small girl who is striving to restore balance within the “eternal blizzard”. Nuna is accompanied by a fox that, in an interesting twist, players can also control.
