TGS 2011: Square Enix announces Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest Monsters, Ithadaki Street for Android
Well if you didn’t have a nerdgasm yesterday over the news of Final Fantasy: Legends coming to Android devices next year then perhaps this article will do the trick instead. Square Enix at the Tokyo Game Show has been dropping names like crazy and three more have come to light that will be coming to Android.
Square Enix is teaming up with Epic Games to bring the Unreal Engine built card-based RPG title Demons’ Score to Android (and iOS). While this is another announcement from the Tokyo Game Show that comes with very little details, we do know some things.
True to the style of Square Enix that we have come to know and get used to, they have quietly released their RPG title that they have been hinting at over the past couple of months. Imaginary Range is a blend of comic and action-RPG genres to create a pretty interesting game.
Square Enix, after teasing us with a big graphic of an untitled upcoming RPG slated for Android and iOS devices last week, have decided to lift the cover of secrecy with some images and what the game will actually be called. Square Enix just announced a new game is in the works for iOS and Android and just by how the announcement looks, it could be an RPG. Square Enix are starting to slowly but steadily release games onto the Android Market and their newest one, Big Hit Baseball, just launched for all the baseball game fans out there. Square Enix has released games, even recently, onto the Android Market and has been for awhile on iOS. Well now it seems they are ready to just jump right into mobile gaming full force as they have just set up a department/company under them called HippoLabs which will be dedicated to mobile gaming on Smartphones.
Square Enix just loves to release games onto Android with little or no warning it seems as yet another title has just landed on the Android Market. Big Cup Cricket has been cited as possibly one of the best Cricket sim sports games available right now by a few sources and we are now lucky enough to have it available for Android devices.
Seriously, where did this come from? Out of nowhere that is where it came from. Square Enix just dropped a massive title onto the Android Market which wasn’t even hinted at being on the way. Crystal Defenders is now available on the Android Market and comes with both W1 and W2 in the same package.
