With all the companies getting into the Android tablet game these days, we are definitely not surprised to find out that information has been leaked out regarding an Android tablet that Sony (not Sony Ericsson) is developing. So far the specs are pretty impressive and as with all things Sony, the design is rather unique.
Well not only a couple hours after we post about Tegra 3 possibly being announced at MWC 2011, it gets confirmed, displayed and shown off in a working Android device. nVidia also let loose their roadmap for future which, in 2 1/2 years time, nVidia plans to have a chip out that is 75x faster than the Tegra 2.
With the announcement of the Qualcomm/ARM quad-core chip at MWC 2011, it is looking like the processor battle is starting to hear up. Hot on the heels of that announcement, nVidia is apparently set to unveil the Tegra 3 chip tomorrow during MWC 2011 as well and thanks to that leaked timeline, we know so specs already.
Just in case you are still wondering if the LG Optimus 2X is going to be the slick Tegra 2 Android phone everyone is claiming it to be or in case you still have reservations on Unreal Engine 3 on Android devices even though there are numerous games coming soon made with it, here is a video of the LG Optimus 2X and Epic Citadel.
One of the Android tablets that really stood out in the swarm that happen to be there at CES 2011 was the 10.1″ Toshiba Android tablet. This particular tablet featured a Tegra 2 chip by nVidia, a nice big screen, 2 cameras, 3 ports and some really nice grip on the back which you can choose in 5 colors.
Not a lot of people have heard of ASRock or Pegatron, unless you are deep into the PC gaming scene, so hearing about two Android tablets coming from a motherboard manufacturer might not just tickle your fancy all that much. Well we don’t have the onslaught of dual-core Tegra 2 Android devices available just yet for purchase that we saw at CES 2011, apparently nVidia is gearing up to possibly announce the Tegra 3 chip which will be a quad-core chip.
CES has been crazy this year, especially regarding certain products and one of those happens to be tablets, more specifically, Android tablets.
