nVidia has released a new video showcasing Android’s latest OS, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich (or Android 4.0 for those of you who dislike desserts), but instead of having it running on a prototype Tegra 3 quad-core tablet, they are showing it off on a production model of an Asus Transformer Prime.

Over the past 24 hours or so there have been plenty of rumors floating around about upcoming Tegra 3 quad-core tablets that could be heading our way. While the Asus Transformer Prime is official, Lenovo recently got some news time with their apparent Tegra 3 tablet that is coming. Now HTC and Acer are joining the party.
You’ve probably seen the odd video clip from us as far back as GDC 2011 where we saw the first prototype of a quad-core Tegra 3 Android tablet and it was running one of the best looking pinball games I’ve had the privilege of seeing on a mobile device called Zen Pinball THD. Now it’s gearing up for release finally.
Lenovo has apparently had their upcoming Tegra 3 quad-core tablet specs leaked today and so far they are looking pretty serious in terms of power. This new Lenovo tablet will be running the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich and will be stuffed with a Tegra 3 quad-core chipset.
While we wait for the Tegra 2 version of Siegecraft THD to arrive this month, Blowfish Studios have announced that they will also be releasing an enhanced version of the game for quad-core Tegra 3 devices in the near future.
Back during Computex 2011 a game development company called iNiS showed off a game called Euphoria on a Tegra 3 quad-core Android tablet. While the game was essentially a tech demo at the time, similar to Soulcraft back during CES 2011 except now it’s coming as a full THD game, it seems as though iNiS will be bringing it to Tegra 3 devices soon as a full game as well.
Developers going by the name of Fatshark are bringing their PSN / PC title over to Android called Hamilton’s Great Adventure THD. This is a co-op puzzle adventure game where you will be playing as Ernest Hamilton, along with his bird Sasha, as you try to solve each stage using both character together.
It looks as though Capcom’s Lost Planet 2 game could be heading our way for Tegra 3 Android devices. Included in all the stuff we got was a quote from Capcom who has apparently been testing the game on a quad-core Tegra 3 Android device. It looks like we could see this coming to Android very soon.
Now that we are out of the more technical announcements and are now talking about the meat of the subject, that being games, I’m sure you’re enjoying all these articles about all the seriously awesome games coming our way. Back during CES 2011 we were at the nVidia press event where a game development studio going by the name of Mobile Bits. The game they showed off was called Soulcraft which we were smart enough to film the entire tech demo of. Since then a lot of people have been asking us when the hell it will be landing on Android?
