The other day Rovio began teasing a new Angry Birds game, emphasizing the word ‘epic’ about twenty times in the process. Well more details are out and guess what this game is called? Angry Birds Epic. Go figure right? Well that may not have blown your mind but the fact that this new Angry Birds game is apparently a turn-based RPG will most likely do the trick.
Kemco has released a new RPG onto Google Play called Rusted Emeth and in this new game you’ll be riding Golems and taking down Bounty Targets, or special monsters, while you hunt for the truth about how your town got destroyed.
With Square Enix having wrapped of their Final Fantasy game releases onto mobile, at least for right now, the company is turning to other franchises they own to fill the game. The major one already announced is the Dragon Quest franchise but it appear we can expect some other franchises to be touched on as well.
Back in September of last year we reported on a new turn-based strategy war game called Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders which had just arrived onto Google Play. The developers of this game have been working hard to bring it to PC and now it is available on Steam through there Early Access program. So why are we reporting on it? Hitman is a pretty popular franchise on the platforms it is on but the one platform it isn’t available for in any form is mobile. That, however, is about to change with the announcement of Hitman GO, a turn-based strategy game that will be heading to Android and iOS soon.
Rodeo Games is jumping into the Unreal Engine 4 scene with a new license for Epic Games’ next-gen game development engine. This company is already known for a few of their titles as well as their partnership with Games Workshop who owns the Warhammer IP and have released one game under that franchise already called Warhammer Quest.
Kemco, a company that releases a lot of retro style RPGs onto Android, has released a new game onto Google Play called Alphadia Genesis. This is the same game we reported on back in July of last year and is the company’s first 3D title that they have released.
Melesta Games has done a bit of a double header today as they have pushed out a rather large update for Toy Monsters while also releasing a whole new game in their Toy Defense franchise, appropriately named Toy Defense 3: Fantasy. If you play Toy Monsters, you have a lot of new content that is now available with the update.
The latest release in the Final Fantasy series on Android from Square Enix appears to have a major bug in it that will basically render the game unplayable if you happen to get caught by it. It’s been almost two months since HyperDevBox announced that their newest game Record of the Agarest War would be heading to Android in a few weeks.
