11-Bit Studios is gearing up to release what will be the last chapter in the Anomaly series called Anomaly Defenders. Originally this game was released onto Steam back in May of this year and we had hoped that the Android version would also launch at around the same time. Unfortunately that didn’t happen but the wait appears to be ending soon as 11-Bit Studios has announced that Anomaly Defenders will be landing on Android next week.

A new endless running game has arrived onto Android called R.G.B. from Invictus Games. This isn’t your standard endless runner though as it features game mechanics similar to that of Guitar Hero. You have three rows, each with their own little character running on them. Each row can have one of three colors appear on itl and when a color comes up to one of your characters, you have to tap there on the screen to swap the correctly colored character to that row.
Wayward Souls is a dungeon crawler/RPG by Noodlecake Studios. It has a few interesting features that are noteworthy. It has a bit of a rogue -like influence as the game uses “procedurally generated random levels”, or in other words its levels are randomly generated.
Halfbrick’s Age of Zombies to get six updates in a short period of time to kick of Zombie Month
Halfbrick’s rather fun game Age of Zombies will be getting six updates pushed to it over the course of a short time period, that being a month. This is to kick off Zombie Month which is now apparently a thing. The first of these six updates has arrived today and it adds some pretty good new features to the game.
If you’re a fan of match three styled games (Bejeweled and Candy Crush are the big ones in that genre), Halfbrick Studios (makers of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride) has released a new game called Brizzle Fever that you might want to take a look at. This avian themed game is (in some respects) like many other games of that genre: players are given a board and asked to clear pieces by matching three or more of a single kind.

Super Boxman is twist on the Endless Runner genre. Whereas other endless runner games are as their name would imply, this game is played in a more vertical fashion.
A new game heading our way will put players into the role of being a bartender in a cyberpunk world. This new sim game is called VA-11 HALL-A and you will be mixing drinks that your customers want before standing there and talking to them about whatever it is they want to talk about. This could be anything from politics to how much their lives suck or how awesome their new house is. Pretty much any subject in other words.
I had the opportunity to interview Jonas Byrresen of Bedtime Digital Games. Their new game Back to Bed is now available for Android devices. It is a puzzle game with lush visuals akin to Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher. If you enjoyed Monument Valley, Back to Bed is a game that you will want to add to your collection. The interview allows us to get to know the designer and Bedtime Digital Games. We get to peer into the process for creating such art and are thankful to Klaus Pedersen and Jonas Byrresen for taking the time to answer our questions.
