A new Marvel game has landed on Google Play today from Glitchsoft Games called X-Men: Days of Future Past. If you follow the Marvel movie scene then you know this is the title of the last X-Men movie that was in theaters. With that said, this game is a 2D side-scrolling arcade game with a lot of action stuffed into it.
Pinball masters Zen Studios are teaming up with another company called PlayNext to bring Deadpool to X-Men: Battle of the Atom. When we first read the press release we though “oh cool, a new Deadpool table in Zen Pinball” but this actually has nothing really to do with Zen Pinball, or pinball at all for that matter.
GREE and Marvel have partnered together and are going to be releasing a comic book tie-in game called X-Men: Battle of the Atom. Marvel has a cross-over comic book event that will be happening soon and this game will be tied into it when the event starts. The overall storyline behind everything, without spoiling it, has to do with the history of the X-Men and players will be experiencing 50 years of mutant X-Men history and beyond.
It seems as though Konami enjoys taking the road less traveled and instead of advertising all over the place that they have released a game, they are more than happy to just release it quietly. This time it comes in the form of the 1992 classic game X-Men. Time to kick some villain ass we think.
