Amazon finally began expanding the reach of their AppStore back in August of this year, opening it up to a few countries over in Europe. Now Amazon is expanding even more but instead of it being to a few different countries in an area, it is only one country this time – Japan. That means if you’re a developer you can now submit your apps to be available for residents in Japan.

Rovio has announced via their Twitter account that Angry Birds Star Wars will be getting a new content update on November 29th, 2012 (tomorrow). This update will feature the Planet Hoth and to tease ever Angry Birds Star Wars fan out there, Rovio has released a promotion trailer about the update, adding yet another video to the library of promotional videos already available for this game.
11 Bit Studios are responsible for one of the more better tower offense games on Android called Anomaly Warzone: Earth. Back in August of this year the company announced that it would be making a sequel to Anomaly Warzone: Earth which would be called Anomaly Korea and would come with a host of new features.
A new RTS game has landed on Android called OutFight. Developed by AMT Games, OutFight has you controlling one army of green-skinned goblin-like creatures and battling it out with other armies of green-skinned goblin-like creatures, which ends up being a whole lot of green-skinned goblin-like creatures. Thankfully they wear different colored shirts.
AMA Ltd has released a new game onto Android called Stars vs Paparazzi: Jet Set Edition which is basically quite a lot like Plants vs Zombies. It’s a strategy game where you play as the Stars who are trying to fend of the Paparazzi in order to keep their fast and famous lifestyle under wraps and not in the public eye.
AMA and Ubisoft’s rather popular action game called Babel Rising 3D has gotten a new version for Android called the ‘sponsored’ edition. This new sponsored edition of the game is available as a free download and comes with all the Free-to-play content that the free version comes with but without the the IAPs. That isn’t all though!
It seems it might take a bit longer for Baldur’s Gate: Enhance Edition to get to Android due to a recent issue that has crept up that was found when Apple rejected the game’s submission onto iOS. Having been fixed, the iOS version has been resubmitted to Apple for approval, putting the release of the game into next week. However, the issue is a cross-platform one which means the Android version currently in development also needs to be fixed.
One game we have talked on and off about for quite some time now is a game called Hamilton’s Great Adventure THD by Fatshark. We’ve talked about this game, demoed it a few times at different conventions and have waited for some time for it to finally arrive on Google Play. Well it looks as though it has finally made it to Android along with a whole expansion pack as well.
Kairosoft has releases a new game onto the Japanese Google Play store which, considering how fast the turn-around time is these days for Kairosoft on Android, means we could be seeing this new game real soon. Unfortunately all we have to go on is the translated version of the Japanese Google Play listing but it does give some insight into the game.
Square Enix’s Demons Score THD hits the Square Enix Market in Japan, on the way soon worldwide?
Square Enix’s rhythm-based action game Demons Score THD has just landed on the Square Enix Market for Japanese residents who own an Android device. Could this mean we will be seeing it soon as a worldwide release for Android users, not just in Japan? It looks like that possibility is on the horizon and it could be even today since Square Enix did confirm that Demons Score THD would be released worldwide.
