The original Ski Safari game has been out for awhile now and has done pretty well for itself, clocking in over 140 million downloads across all platforms in total. That means there should be a lot of happy gamers out there to hear that a sequel is coming to mobile devices next week.
PAX Prime 2015 is coming up rather quickly and it seem developers are eager to try out new things this year to bring attention to their games. We already have Telltale Games hosting a special ‘Crowd Play’ event at the show where up to 500 people can sit down with the developers and play through the new upcoming Episode 4: Escape Plan Bravo for Tales from the Borderlands.
Catfishblues Games has releases an interesting new running game onto Google Play called Brave Knight Rush. This particular game is a blend of arcade gaming, which takes inspiration from the old school Ghouls N’ Goblins game, and third-person running games to create a level-based action running title.
The release of episode 4 – Escape Plan Bravo for Telltale Games’ series Tales From The Borderlands is coming this week for all platforms that this series is on. Last week we got to see some screenshots for this upcoming episode and this week we get to check out the official trailer.
You may remember last week when it was reported that Google’s modular Android phone called Project Ara was being ‘recalculated’ and that there was a possible change in plans coming to the project. The Project Ara Twitter account, where all of this was originally announced, also stated that we can expect more updates to arrive this week. Those updates have begun and the first one is that the release of Project Ara is being delayed till sometime in 2016.
Up until now the next iteration of Android has simply been known as Android M. That, however, has changed today as Google has made it official that Android 6.0 will be called Android Marshmallow. Square Enix has been running a new program lately called the Square Enix Collective program which is basically the company’s third-party promotional arm. Square Enix provides indie developers various support while they developer their games. Today they are showing off a rather interesting Anime-style game called Armor Blitz.
Released by Breta Games, Upong is a simple, break-breaker like game yet has its own identity. Upong retains the idea of a bouncing ball and a horizontally sliding pad that players control at the bottom of the screen. Where it differs is is the fact that players will be responsible to navigate the square shaped ball around obstacles instead of destroying them.
Laser Dog, known for previous games Puk and Alone, have been working on a great retro-style platformer called Hopiko for awhile now. In fact we reported on this game coming to Android back in April of this year. So it has been a few months since we’ve heard anything about when this game will be released. Now we have a release date finally thanks to a post on Vine from the developers.
