Honeycomb has been out for awhile now, about a month or so, and yet the source code has not been released to the public. As of late, rumors of Google tightening it’s control over the Android OS have been floating around, mostly directed at manufacturers and their user interface overlays that they stick on their devices most of the time.

“Earth and Legend” is a high-definition full 3D RPG coming to many platforms, including Android. As more and more information gets released the game just sounds even better and better. A while back we learned about the day and night cycle, and now we have new pictures of working weather and some NPCs roaming the world.
Last week Android’s first emulator for the Playstation got yanked off the Android Market due to content policy violations. The developer, ZodTTD, was unsure at the time as to what route he would go now that it was banned from the Android Market. It seems he has made his decision and it is now available for free.
World of Warcraft players who are already using the Remote App by Blizzard to check the auction house and buy/sell on there are in for a treat. If you haven’t used it, you might want to consider it now as Blizzard is planning on adding remote Guild chat to the application. As the name suggests, you’ll be able to talk to guild members on your Android phone.
Our resident argument starter, Charan, has decided to take on Epic’s recent announcement of no official Android support yet. Nothing like an afternoon break from news to view someone dressed up as the Android mascot and dancing around in some random mall to terrible music. This time our lively little dancer is in Malaysia tearing it up for more people in celebration of the Xperia Arc. It’s almost like a strip tease though as the banner on the Android slowly falls off.
Haptify has released a virtual pinball game onto the Android Market and unlike other pinball games currently available, Enzo’s Pinball features full tactile feedback. This means players will literally feel all the action during playing the game as the ball hits bumpers, targets and travels up ramps or any other action you’d feel during playing one in real life.
Mono for Android now available. C# and .NET developers rejoice now that you can make apps for Android
It must be developer news day today or something, not that we are complaining. The more tools developers have, the better they can make good games with! Mono for Andorid, now available for general consumption, will allow developers to develop applications and whatever else they want to using technologies like C# and .NET.
[Update] Unreal Engine still not supporting Android officially, doesn’t mean you can’t make games with it though
Yesterday Kotaku and Gizmodo teamed up to unveil a closer look at the new Unreal Engine by Epic. One of the improvements coming to Unreal Engine is more mobile gaming support in a general sense. While the new Sony handheld system and iOS are supported, Epic has made no plans to announce Android support officially yet.
Rovio has mentioned via Twitter that Angry Birds Seasons will be receiving an update for Easter. We can only imagine that there will be eggs or egg baskets and possibly pigs with rabbit ears to follow the Easter theme. The update should be out before Easter according to Rovio who also mentioned upcoming updates for Rio and Original versions as well.
