HTC’s HD2 was a beautiful phone ruined with ancient software many reviewers initially concluded. It has some of the most advanced mobile hardware in the thinnest package available. Likely the last of HTC’s WM6.5 phones the HD2 was left to die with few updates from HTC and little marketing attention after it’s launch. DroidGamers does an in-depth review of the HD2.
All the major carriers either have a “4G” technology available or will soon be offering one. While they all seem very promising and fast none of them meet the ITU’s standard for 4G speeds. Technically, all of the wireless carriers in the US will be falsely advertising their services. With actual 4G standards still years away from deployment does this stand to seriously effect the image of actual 4G?

At first this may not seem like it is Android gaming related until you remember that rumor has it that Sony Ericsson is apparently making a PSP Go-like phone using the Android OS. According to Engadget, Sony is considering using Android in more of their products although what exactly those products are is unknown but it’s a fair guess what it might be.
Aurora Feint, developers of OpenFeint, seems to have gotten a new investor and as the title suggests it is ‘sort of’ Intel. Actually it is Intel Capital, which is the the investment branch of the Intel corporation similar to that of Google Ventures. This investment will help Aurora Feint push more great games and content to more mobile devices including Android.
About a month and a half ago we wrote about a Facebook game which is also available for iOS coming to Android called Happy Island. Basically in the game you run your own island and as you grow your attractions bring in income which you spend on improving your island. Well announced yesterday was that Happy Island has gone completely freemium.
Like puzzle games? How about shooter games? What about both meshed into one game and sprinkled with a little eye candy to round it all out? Kalloc Studios just released their puzzle/shooting game called Runelore and don’t be afraid, it’s got some nice eye candy as well!
The racing game that everyone had been looking forward to is now available on the Android Market. It was originally called Deliverance, Reckless Racing has been long overdue to being released on the market. It was delayed a few times and then word about the game simply disappeared so it being available now suddenly is a surprise and a half.
Mini Army, that cool little game by OrangePixel based off the old Snake game but completely redone, was updated today with a rather large update. Along with a bunch of bug fixes included in this update, there are also new desktops to play on, a new game mode, new achievements to unlock and a whole lot more. Check out the full change log!
