The classic Games Workshop board game Talisman will arrive on April 25th

If you happen to be a fan of board games like one of our writers happens to be (that would be Larry the Incredible Edible Squirrel) then you will be pleased to know that the classic board game from Games Workshop called Talisman will be heading to Android in a couple of days.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Talisman or missed our previous post about this game coming to Android, this is an interesting board game in the fact that winning mostly relied on luck and having enough time. Drawing cards and having to deal with the consequences of that particular card, be it bad or good, is pretty much the name of the game here. Of course there is also combat to be had with a variety of monsters.

The upcoming digital version of this game, officially named Talisman: Prologue, will feature a full single player campaign with 50 quests to work your way through. Each space a player lands on will require you to draw a card and based on what that card turns out to be, you’ll need to act appropriately whether it is receiving a new item or a monster you have to fight. This random card drawing will also keep the game fresh and different each time you play through the game.

There is actually a lot of randomization in this game. Monsters will be randomly generated each time you play the game. So aside from the randomized cards, you will have randomized monsters as well, not just in type but where they are located as well. Your main goal in this game is to work your way from the outer edge of the board to the center and hopefully reaching the main prize which is the reach the Crown of Command.

For those of you who have played the physical board game before, when it comes to the rule set that Talisman: Prologue will use, they will be the 4th Edition rules from the original game. Multiplayer will also be apart of this game but it won’t be available when the game launches. Instead it will be arriving in an update in the neat future. Talisman: Prologue will be available on Google Play on April 25th (this Thursday) and will cost you $4.99 to download.
