Just in case you haven’t had enough RPG based new today already, here comes some more for you. Earlier this month we reported on another RPG that would be making it’s way to Android soon from Kemco called Knight of the Earthends. Well it’s been a couple of weeks since we reported on that and Kemco has released the game onto Google Play as of yesterday.
Many of you might not know what Fighting Fantasy books are, or maybe you do, but for those of you who don’t, Fighting Fantasy books were pretty much the most popular series of game adventure books (as in actual physical books) from back in the day. Now, one of the two authors, Ian Livingstone, has teamed up with Tin Man Games to bring the first official Fighting Fantasy book to Android called Blood of the Zombies.
Back in April of this year, Dialect released a tablet-only news applications that was focused on the entertainment industry with a bit more of a dedicated focus to gaming including that of Android gaming. The app was impressively made and featured a lot of dynamic content inside of it but unfortunately, if you only owned an Android phone, you were unable to get this app. That, however, is not the case anymore.
A new development studio has arrived on Android going by the rather unique name Sky Carpenter Digital Entertainment and their first release onto Google Play is a rather great looking dual-stick shooter called Fantashooting. The name comes from combining Fantasy and Shooting and has no affiliation with the soda that used to have weird commercials on TV.
Gamelion is getting ready to release their fifth game onto Android which happens to be a rather excellent looking hack n’ slash Action-RPG type of title called League of Heroes. Your goal is to defend the villagers of Frognest from the evil that happens to be invading the lands. As a hero, you’ll be taking up arms and slashing your way through an onslaught of enemies.
It is all about the highscore in a new retro arcade game from Conquering Bytes called Diskobolos. While you can just shoot them individually, you can increase your multiplier to really rake in the points in a few ways including bouncing the discs off the walls to hit more insects.
There is a new Action-RPG title on the Google Play store coming from Four Thirty Three called Epic Hearts. Unlike a lot of RPG titles that tend to be turn-based in its combat, Epic Hearts is one of the few that offers up real-time combat as you are playing the game. Think of it as something similar to what Gamevil puts out with their Zenonia series of games.
A new game called Skyriders by indie game developer Inverse Blue landed onto Google Play over the past weekend. The game is a blend between the platformer and tunnel-racer genres, where you play as an alien piloting a spacecraft. The game features crazy track layouts to test your skills, and has visceral looking visuals of the cosmos as the backdrop.
I always make it a point to check the TegraZone games listing every once in a while, just to see if there’s any new games that are due anytime soon. Well, Crazy Machines: Golden Gears THD by FAKT Software has just made an appearance, and is due to make its way to Tegra 3 devices sometime between now and the end of the year.
Good news for fans on indie games or, more specifically, those created by Terry Cavanaugh. The creator of the rather popular and difficult indie game Super Hexagon has labeled his 2010 award winning indie game, VVVVVV, as coming soon to Android and iOS. This indie platformer quickly became a hit, gaining a rather large cult following just like his newest game has done.
