Recently nVidia decided to show off Project Shield a little bit more by loading up Borderlands 2 onto it and giving it a whirl. In the end it looked quite good and played smoothly. This time they want to show off another game running on Project Shield and that is Vivid Games’ newest title Real Boxing.

Interesting news coming from Qualcomm today where Qualcomm’s Snapdragon boss Raj Talluri came out to basically say there is no real point to nVidia’s Project Shield and that it is basically useless. Following that statement Raj Talluri went on to say that Qualcomm won’t be building anything to compete with Project Shield either and that there is no real need for a dedicated Android device for games.
Gameloft is a company that is known for its high-quality games. Their titles normally look good, sometimes being at the top of the charts for graphics. Unfortunately they’re also known as a company that tends to rip off or copy other titles. Even if that’s the case, nothing seems to stop this game giant.
SilverTree Media has unleashed a new game onto Google Play featuring their loveable little robot with a TV for a head called Cordy 2. As you may be guessing from the name, this is a sequel to their hit platformer they released awhile ago simply called Cordy. Our little robot is once again out to stop the forces of evil on a new world.
Horn by Phosphor Games is a Tegra exclusive game. It has been the case from the time of launch up until this very moment. However, that never stopped it from being able to be purchased or downloaded by users on non-Tegra devices. It’s an interesting little scenario that seems to be doing more harm than good though.
A couple of weeks ago Gameloft finally released a teaser trailer for their upcoming Team Fortress 2 / Battlefield Heroes influenced game called Blitz Brigade. Now Gameloft has released a new gameplay video showcasing the game’s cartoon characters shooting each other in face.
Well, our Under The Radar column was meant to be something we did once every week or so, but in just the past few days I’ve come across some really good titles from first-time indie developers. So that leads us to our second Under The Radar for the week. More than half of the games on this list can be classified under the “brutal” category, so if you’re looking for challenging games then be sure to give them a go.
A new Tegra 3 optimized game will be heading our way soon which is actually a game that is already out on Xbox Live Arcade as well as on Steam for PCs called Space Ark. It will officially have the THD tacked onto it when it arrives for Tegra 3+ Android devices. We’re saying Tegra 3+ since Tegra 4 is on the way real soon and those devices with Tegra 4 chipsets will also play Tegra 3 games.
So the Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.6.0 update has been out for a short while now (and the quick 0.6.1 bug fix update as well) and it is time to start talking about the next update which will be 0.7.0 unless Mojang decided to make it an 0.6.x version but that seems doubtful. We’ve already talked about a few features that we are pretty sure will be arriving for this next update but now we pretty much have confirmation on some of them.
Crescent Moon Games released their popular full-sized 3D Action-RPG Aralon: Sword and Shadow onto Android but there was a bit of a catch to the release. The game was launched onto the Amazon AppStore and only there. While this isn’t a huge issue, it did stop anyone without access to the Amazon AppStore from being able to purchase this game.
