Gameloft is optimizing nine of their games for Android TV. This should come as no surprise really as Gameloft tries to usually be one of the first game development companies to announce support for new Android platforms, regardless of what those platforms actually are.

Transformers Age of Extinction (the movie) hits theaters this Friday. So of course any big-budget movie based off of a toy is going to have a mobile game to go along with it. Sharing the same name, the game is actually a 3D runner. However to split itself a part from those usual games, and to capture the Transformers feel, there is combat. Fighting is done as one of the two Transformer forms, vehicle or robot. You can upgrade your Transformers to make your team even more powerful.
Sc0tt Games, who created The Ingenious Machine, Rocket Drop, and Tri-Strip, is about to release a brand new game called Chaos Ride. Set in the future, this racing game isn’t like most others as “[b]raking, drifting, and cornering are all irrelevant”. So in lieu of those things, racers will shift their weight (via careful positioning) and attempt to maximize the track to their advantage through things like the downhill gradients of the tubular track accelerating the speed of their hover bikes.
During yesterday’s beginning of Google I/O 2014, Google decided to show off a demo video which displays the Unreal Engine 4 built game Rivalry running on Android. This is to show PC-class gaming on Android and, of course, in conjunction with Nvidia’s upcoming Tegra K1 chipset.
While not specifically a game per se, Transformers: Age of Extinction is an app with game elements that ties in with the upcoming movie of the same name. The app features a bevy of features, all of which involve promoting the movie, obviously. Character Bios, trailers, a photo gallery, and a look at all the new Transformers toys themselves are all a part of the app.
OnLive is working with Wikipad to make streaming cloud PC games playable with the Wikipad’s included controller encasing. OnLive is a cloud gaming service that lets users play games via streaming to devices that can be connected to the OnLive controller or other compatible controllers. However, in the case with Wikipad, the controller the tablet sits in will now work with OnLive games.
SEGA has partnered with Google to bring Android users two exclusive characters to the popular endless running game, Sonic Dash. For a limited time, Andy Android, the mascot for the Android operating system, is being featured as a playable character in Sonic Dash.
The mouse of wonder returns in an HD reimagining of the Sega Genesis masterpiece, The Castle of Illusion. Players take control of Mickey Mouse, who is on a quest to save his stalwart companion, Minnie Mouse, from the nefarious witch Mizrabel. The game boasts stunning visuals, five magical worlds to explore, hidden challenges and unlockable classic costumes for Mickey.
Sega (the beloved console company of yore that now produces mobile games) has put the following Sonic games on sale: Sonic 4 (episodes 1,2), Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic Jump.
Gameloft announced a spin-off Asphalt game titled Asphalt Overdrive at E3. Played upright in portrait mode, Overdrive has players driving in between 3 lanes, which one can be changed with a swipe of the screen. There are many different challenges to partake in including escaping the police, performing stunts, and of course racing. Challenges give you a star rating with three stars being the highest obtainable.
