You know, I’m not normally a fan of rehashed clone games. The fact is that any gamer who has spent more than a dozen hours online knows that feeling when he or she sees yet another game that uses mechanics or designs that we’ve all seen a hundred times before. So, when I stumbled across Survivalcraft, an obvious clone of Minecraft: Pocket Edition, I was hesitant. I’ve also learned that a game can look like another yet be its very own creation, so I bought it and started the download. In the notes about the game, the developer literally gives credit to Minecraft and asks players to purchase it, so that gave me more confidence. After all, I’ve read a lot of player-written stories that are based in official lore or viewed wonderful fan art, all of it based on somebody else’s creation.
Nexon has brought another one of their online PC games to mobile, minus the online part that is. Dungeon Fighter Gunner has arrived on the Google Play store and is the first mobile addition to the Dungeon Fighter franchise which even features an online game for PC gamers to play. This particular game though is a completely new story while bringing all of the action from the online game to mobile.

There have been some tidbits of information about Minecraft: Pocket Edition regarding future features and updates from one the main developers on the project, Johan Bernhardsson. While we have news on the next update that will arrive for Minecraft: Pocket Edition and what it will come with, what we are really excited about is what Johan has been working on aside from the next update.
Madfinger Games have pushed out their Christmas update which we talked about last week for Dead Trigger. With this update comes a new boss called Zanta who is in the holiday spirit and regardless if you have been naughty or nice, he wants to kill you and eat your brains. However, Zanta isn’t the only thing coming with this update.
While a lot of the fans of Spacetime Studios titles are currently working their way through the latest MMO to come from Spacetime Studios, called Arcane Legends, the company is still hard at work bringing content to all of their other MMO titles. Their first release was Pocket Legends, a fantasy-themed MMORPG that has over 8 million downloads, and has gotten a rather large content update which comes with two new playable classes: the Rhino Paladin and the Vixen Ranger.
Fans of Anomaly: Warzone Earth have some good news today as 11 Bit Studios has confirmed the sequel to their tower offense game will be arriving on Android some time between now and Christmas. That means Anomaly Korea will land on Google Play at some point over the next 11 days. We’ve had the privilege of having been playing an early preview build of Anolomay Korea over the past couple of weeks and we can say you won’t be disappointed.
Right now the only option when it comes to the Avengers Initiative game from Marvel is to play as a giant raging green mass called Hulk. However, that will be changing with the new Episode 2 for Avengers Initiative which brings Captain America into the mix, someone who is a bit more tactful and level headed then Hulk.
For those of you who enjoy the endless running genre of games, there happens to be a new endless platformer now up on Google Play called Monster Crew from BonusXP. This little game has you playing as Frankenstein who happens to run endlessly through a rather haunted looking mansion with plenty of platforms and monsters to smash.
Way back in May of this year we talked about a development studio going by the name of Dark Tonic who had put up a Kickstarter campaign to get funding for their Occupy Wall Street inspired game called Wall Street Titan. Well it looks as though development has come along quite nicely and the first full Android version test has been successful.
