TreeFortress Games have brought their rather unique mash-up game called Bardbarian to Android. This game is a mash-up of Tower Defense, RPG and Bullet Hell shooter, at least that is how the developers are describing it. While the first two genres are definitely there, the Bullet Hell shooter part isn’t so much, but there is a similar style of mechanic in Bardbarian.

Amazon buys Killer Instinct developer Double Helix Games and all of their intellectual properties
Back in August of 2012 Amazon created their own game development studio, appropriately named Amazon Game Studios, in an attempt to make their own games and publish them. Since the creation of this game development studio, not a whole lot has come from it aside from the odd Facebook game but there is also the the ability to make games for their own Android devices.
One of the most anticipated sim games last year, called Star Command, is now available for free for the next 24 hours. This is, of course, if you happen to have access to Amazon’s AppStore which, since the company’s expansion to other countries has happened, should mean a lot of you can take advantage of this deal.
This rumor has been floating around since the later part of 2013 but apparently there is a bit more validity to it now. According to VG24/7, Amazon will be launching their Android game console sometime this year and will be priced somewhere below the $300 mark. That price point isn’t surprising considering Amazon likes to try and make their Android-based devices priced as low as possible.
Today Sony has announced their first original free-to-play IP for mobile gaming called Suits & Swords. This new IP for Sony is a pretty interesting mix of Blackjack (well it’s more the strategy behind the game according to Sony) and RPG mechanics in one title.

Amazon has a couple of games available for free today that you might want to pick up when you get a minute. Actually scratch that, you’ll want to pick either, or both, of these games up if you have access to Amazon’s AppStore. While the main one we are talking about is Double Fine Production’s The Cave, the challenging puzzle game Cogs from Lazy 8 Studios is also available for free as Amazon’s free game of the day.
Kemco has put out a fair number of retro style RPGs since their debut on Android and now to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holidays, the company has decided to put 23 of their games on sale for $0.99. This includes 23 games on Google Play as well as eight of them that also happen to be available on Amazon’s AppStore.
A survey that was just conducted has come up with some interesting results which point to Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet as being the most popular tablet to play Android games on. While it wasn’t the biggest survey on the planet with only 1,117 people taking it, the results are still pretty interesting considering the Kindle Fire came out on top as the most used for mobile gaming on tablets.
10Tons has dropped the prices on select games on both Amazon’s AppStore and Google Play till December 3rd, 2013. In total there are eight games on sale between the two sites so you should be able to find something you like regardless of what device you have or marketplace you prefer to use.
