Sega is putting up a few of their games for sale to celebrate the holiday season as well. This time, however, instead of iOS getting a bunch of games on sale and Android only getting one or two, Android has five games actually on sale by Sega. If you happen to be a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog games, you’ll be happy to know they are all on sale right now.
A new game has arrived on the Playstation Mobile platform for Playstation Certified games called Cosmic Clean-up. Developed by Ripstone, this game has players taking control of an astronaut who is our to clean up the galaxy. This is done by using the rockets attached to your space ship in order to burn away whatever needs to be cleaned up.
The flurry news regarding the Android gaming console OUYA has died down for a bit now as the unit is currently finishing up development and getting ready for production. While we all wait for the March 2013 release of this new home gaming console unit, OUYA has decide to announce ten more games that will be available when the unit hits store shelves in March 2013.
A new game development studio coming out of London called Super Icon have announced that they will be developing games for the Playstation Mobile platform, along with other mobile platforms such as iOS and Android non-Playstation Certified devices. Super Icon already has two games in the works that look to bring back the memories of the old school gaming days long since passed.
Zen Studios happens to be the developers behind one of the two main pinball platforms on Android called Zen Pinball. Up until now the official name of their platform was Zen Pinball THD but if you go to the Google Play listing now it will show up as Zen Pinball HD. This is because the platform, once exclusive to Tegra-based devices, is now available for select Android devices that do not have a Tegra chipset inside.
Pocket Gems have been developing games for mobile for awhile now strictly for iOS until recently when they finally branched out onto Android as well. Late last week the company announced it was getting into mobile game publishing as well, similar to what other companies like Gamevil are doing, with publishing 3rd party mobile games. Their first partner game has arrived on Google Play called Chasing Yello.
Herocraft has turned ten years old and to celebrate this double-digit anniversary they have put all of their games on sale for a limited time. This also happens to be the perfect time for label this as another holiday season sale as well. An interesting Kerby-esque type of platformer will be heading out way soon called Mr. Wave. Developed by Actos Games, this particular indie title features Mr. Wave who happens to be a living microwave in the land of the Kitchen Republic. One day the president of the republic is kidnapped by the folks over in Gourmet City and it is up to you, playing as Mr. Wave, to rescue him.
Ikaruga is widely recognized to be one of the best shoot ‘em ups ever, and has garnered high praise from both reviewers and hardcore gamers in the past. It is a challenging and fast-paced game that utilizes the color polarity mechanic – your ship has to be of the same color as the incoming bullets or else you die.
