The Grand Tournament expansion is still fresh for Hearthstone players, having been out barely a month. This, however, isn’t stopping Blizzard on working on more new content for their popular TCG. Rumors are already starting to circulate that a new Hearthstone adventure will be unveiled at this year’s Blizzcon.
Blizzard’s much anticipated Hearthstone expansion has finally arrived and right on time. After much teasing, including slowly revealing some of the 132 new cards between the time the company announced the Grand Tournament expansion and its actual arrival, The Grand Tournament has finally arrived yesterday afternoon. If you pre-purchased the expansion, you were also able to open up all those packs of cards that have been staring you in the face all this time.
Yesterday we reported on folks being able to preview some of the new cards that will be arriving with the Grand Tournament expansion by participating in this week’s Tavern Brawl. In that article we also stated that given previous history with Hearthstone and expansions, along with current internet rumors, that the official launch for this expansion is most likely going to happen on Monday. As it turns out, this is indeed true.

So last month it was officially announced that the Grand Tournament would be the next expansion for Blizzard’s popular Hearthstone game. Since then new cards have been slowly revealed over the course of the past few weeks. However at Gamescom, Blizzard revealed not only some new cards and features, but yet another new mechanic called Joust.
Blizzard last week announced the next big update that will be coming to Hearthstone next month called The Grand Tournament. They also announced that there would be a pre-order available for folks wanting to grab a bunch of Grand Tournament boost packs now, and have them ready to open when the expansion arrives.
Hearthstone is Blizzard’s popular virtual CCG for multiple platforms including mobile handsets that’s based on the World of Warcraft universe. Recently, Blizzard released a custom card back that was made exclusively available for those playing the game on a Galaxy S6. If you don’t have a Galaxy S6, but you’re OCD about collecting every card back in the game, that means there will always be one missing from your collection… or does it?

Moments ago Blizzard started their afternoon live event which was being held for some major announcement regarding their TCG title Hearthstone. While there have been plenty of guesses as to what this announcement was going to be, and plenty of teasing from Blizzard, we now know exactly what the announcement is. As it turns out, there is a new expansion coming to the game.

Over the past couple of weeks Blizzard has been teasing a big announcement regarding their Hearthstone game which would be happening on July 22nd, 2015. That happens to be today. While there is a ton of guesses as to what this could be, all of the previous expansions, updates, new features, and new content to arrive for this game have never had a live event to go with it. This marks the first time that there has been a live event for an announcement for Hearthstone.
