At CES 2011 there were a ton of new Android goodies to play around with. One of the more impressive phones was the Motorola Bionic which is a part of a few new awesome Motorola devices slated for release soon. While we were going to do a traditional type of hands-on, our device happen to have Dungeon Defenders installed on it.

One of the more awesome Android phones at CES 2011 was the Optimus 2X from LG who came out strong this year at the show. This is LG’s first dual-core Android phone sporting a Tegra 2 chip inside and playing around with it, you can certainly see/feel the difference a Tager 2 makes in your phone.
CES has been crazy this year, especially regarding certain products and one of those happens to be tablets, more specifically, Android tablets. ViewSonic has a few offerings in this field: ViewSonic 4″ Tablet, 7″ Tablet, 10″ dual-boot tablet, the GTablet and the 10S Tablet. We got to fondle the dual-core GTablet and get a run down of the 4″ one.
Marvell had some interesting gear at CES and one was an Android tablet that can stream your movies or gaming, minus the wires, onto your HDTV. With almost zero lag, you are able to use the tablet as your game controller for racing games and similar genres via the accelerometer, however, it will do all games of course.
NOX Audio invited us over to check out their working prototype of a headset they will be releasing in late 2011 called the Admiral Touch. This headset features a small 2.4″ LCD screen running the Android OS to take advantage of gesture-based controls and will have built-in WiFi for streaming audio as well.
Not that Unreal Engine 3 officially supports Android just yet even though they will sell you a license to make an Android game, such as Dungeon Defenders: First Wave. Well their primary showcase game demo, Epic Citadel, is now up and running on a dual-core Tegra 2 Android tablet and it looks fantastic.
Sharp brought over their 3D glasses-free Android phones to CES 2011 and of course we had to test them out, especially with the promise of some major companies like Capcom releasing games in 3D for the device. There are literally the same ones that were recently released in Japan and sport the same specs including language files.
This is a very prototype Android tablet and we were told that even the cosmetics on the body and possibly even the body shape itself will change before the production release. It will be running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and it will be a dual-core Android tablet thanks to the Tegra 2 chip inside.
We are closing up day 2 of CES 2011 and so far it has been pretty sweet with some great Android devices already launched and a hands-on with Vendetta Online beta for Android. During nVidia’s press event, MobileBits came on stage after Trendy Entertainment’s Jeremy Stieglitz to show off their new game on the LG Optimus 2X.
Remember way back when we first went live and we reported on a 3D MMORPG coming to Android that was originally based for PC play called Vendetta Online by Guild Software? Well after that article, all was silent on the development… until now. John Bergman got in touch with us with an offer we couldn’t refuse.
