Plenty of Tegra 4 news will be happening this week as you probably have already guessed from this morning alone, but it seems that Vizio will be the first company to have a Tegra 4 Android tablet, or at least announce one. They even have an early version of the tablet here at CES for all of us to fondle relentlessly.

Last night during the nVidia press conference it was all about gaming except for perhaps 1% which focused on photos. One of their announcements which caught a lot of people off guard was that nVidia has been working on their own portable entertainment system (let’s be real though, it’s all about gaming) called Project Shield. This little package of awesome will sport a Tegra 4 chipset and pure Android, as in no crappy secondary UI layered over it.

As you all already know by now, the Tegra 4 chip and the Nvidia Project Shield handheld console, which we will talk about after this, were announced at a special event yesterday night before CES 2013 began officially. Naturally, with the launch of nVidia’s latest mobile processor launch, they have unveiled a selection of games that will arrive on the platform in the coming months.
Sega will be continuing their push into the Android Market soon with a new game, exclusive to the Xperia Play for now, called Virtua Tennis Challenge. We got a chance to meet up with Mike from Sega who is the Brand Manager for Virtua Tennis on mobile platforms and had some fun playing this upcoming game.
We headed over to the LG Booth for our appointment and what we were really interested in was the new LG Spectrum HD LTE Android phone which is also coming with Super Street Fighter IV. That particular game also came with the LG Nitro and can only be played on an phone that has a true HD resolution display.
Zombie Driver THD is one of the games we mentioned that would be coming to Android this year and we managed to get a bit of a gameplay preview of this title filmed while at the nVidia booth. Developed by Exor Studios, Zombie Driver THD isn’t your normal zombie survival game.
One of the other items we really wanted to check out was the multiplayer functionality that is coming to Shadowgun for Android. This new version will be called Shadowgun: Deadzone and we got to check out some of the gameplay for it. End result: It is about time multiplayer came to Shadowgun.
We mentioned in our recap of the nVidia press conference that they quickly showed Skyrim being played on an Asus Transformer Prime through the use of the upcoming THD version of the Splashtop Remote Desktop application which will be available specifically for Tegra-based Android devices soon.
One of the first items we walked right into when the doors open yesterday was the Intel booth and there they had a prototype of their upcoming Intel Android tablet. Coming from Lenovo, this particular tablet will be running Ice Cream Sandwich when it is released.
For those of you who were unable to tune into the live streaming of the nVidia Press Conference, there was a lot of talk about Tegra 3. While most of it was information we already knew, nVidia announced a few interesting new features.
