Everyone has been waiting patiently for the 0.7.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition to arrive for Android, having had to wait on the iOS version to get approved by Apple before we are graced with the update. It’s been about a month of delays due to bugs and whatnot as well but the wait is over and the 0.7.0 update is now available for download.

A few days ago we talked about SkyVu Entertainment and the fact that they would be bringing a new Battle Bears game to Android called Battle Bears Gold. This particular game is actually a full online multiplayer shooter where teams of four players go against other teams in arena style shooter combat.
Battle Bears have been a popular franchise for awhile now with a variety of titles available on Android and iOS already. However SkyVu Entertainment is gearing up to release a new online multiplayer shooter called Battle Bears Gold which will feature cross-platform multiplayer gaming for PC, smartphones and tablets.
Quark Games has announced their newest title Champs: Battlegrounds with looks to be a pure head-to-head player-vs.-player online game that will also feature cross-platform gameplay on smartphones and tablets. This particular game has players building a squad from a selection of ‘Champs’ or heroes.
We reported not too long ago that Zynga was looking to enter the MOBA gaming space with a new game called Solstice Arena. This new game is heading both to Android and iOS and as of today the company has done a limited release onto iOS for folks in Canada and New Zealand. While we only care about the Android version of the game, this does indicate that Solstice Arena is getting close to a full release on both platform.
A new Kickstarter project is aiming to make games basically never-ending by offering up a simple way for players to build and share user created content. While level editors are nothing news when it comes to gaming, there isn’t a whole lot of mobile games that come with that feature and when they do it can sometimes be not the easiest thing to do.
Since the inception of Peter Molyneux and his studio 22Cans’ Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube game, everyone has been wondering what the prize is at the center of the cube. For those of you unfamiliar with this game, Curiosity was a social experiment type of game where everyone playing the game happen to be chipping away at a giant cube. The person to strike the last hit on the cube to access the center would receive a prize that, as Peter Molyneux described, would be life changing.
We have been following the progress of the Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.0 update since its inception, from the additional features that will be arriving with it to the full multiplayer experience that will be arriving with Minecraft Pocket Realms and even the delays. Jawfish Games launches their impressive real-time multiplayer platform for mobile gaming
Following the recent official announcement from Google last week regarding Google Play Games services and all that entails including real-time multiplayer gameplay and match-making features, another company today has announced that they are launching their own real-time multiplayer platform for Android and iOS as well.
American McGee’s, who developed the Alice: Maddness Returns game and owns Spicy Horse Games studio, has released a few more details about their upcoming new Oz game that we talked about only a few days ago. At the time the company didn’t even know what genre the game would be in or what it would all entail. Now we know that there will a Steampunk theme meshed into it as well as zombies.
