We won’t mention ‘the list’… you know… that list. Yeah, the one that contained all of the apparently titles Gameloft would be releasing during 2013. We also won’t mention that every title that has come out on Google Play or that has been announced as coming soon since that leak have been games that were on that list. This new game is no exception to that fact either.

A couple of interesting tidbits of news regarding the upcoming Android-powered game console OUYA have come out this morning. It seems like things just keep getting better and better for this little console, first with plenty of content from developers both big and small being made for it, and now some major retail power has been signed on to sell units both online and at physical storefronts.
American McGee’s upcoming Action-RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters has been successfully funded on Kickstater with reaching their goal of $200,000. This game, already in closed beta for PC, is also slated for release on Android and iOS but in order to get the game finished as completely as the developer’s wanted it to be, they actually had to turn to Kickstarter for additional funding.
We’ve talked a lot about nVidia’s upcoming handheld gaming system Project Shield already which sports a Tegra 4 chipset and will be running the latest version of Android when it’s released. We’ve also mentioned there is a separate UI which is focused on gaming where you can play games you’ve purchased on Google Play, Tegra-optimized games from Tegra Zone or PC games streamed from your PC to your Project Shield unit.
Following the growing trend of publishers offering up development funds for mobile game developers, Kongregate has announced their own development fund to the tune of $10 million dollars to help mobile game developers finish their games and help get them much needed exposure across iOS and Android.
The folks at Firemonkeys have released a new developer diary video which this time talks about the multiplayer functionality that will be arriving with Real Racing 3. The multiplayer mode, called Time Shift Multiplayer, will allow players to race against other people anyone, anytime and even if they are offline.
Imangi Studios and Disney teamed up once already to bring Temple Run: Brave to the world and apparently the two companies will once again be teaming up but this time it will be for something Oz related. When we say Oz related we don’t mean the prison show from awhile ago but instead the Wizard of Oz franchise.
Craneballs Studios has a sequel on the way for their gun saturated FPS game Overkill. Appropriately named Overkill 2, this sequel will once again come with a ridiculous amount of weapons to play around with and customize in order to properly take out your enemies with. However, if you want to get a head start with Overkill 2, there is a way you can nab yourself a free gun.
In terms of content OUYA seems to keep on growing bigger and bigger. While not all of the games submitted during OUYA’s CREATE contest will be made into full titles for us to play, there are still plenty of them that will become full titles and there are plenty of developers outside of the CREATE contest working on games for the Android powered console.
A few days ago, HeroCraft released a new game onto Google Play called Jail Run. This is a decent little puzzle game where you grab loot and avoid traps in a bid to escape the dungeon you’re held captive in. We covered it in our latest Under the Radar column a few days ago.
