For the most part most augmented reality games are usually of an MMO nature with a few exceptions to the rule existing. Google has already done its fair share invading the world with Android devices and now their in-house development studio, called Niantic Labs, have revealed an MMO augmented reality game called Ingress which looks pretty interesting to say the least.
Rumble Entertainment are gearing up to spread their wings and transverse the world of mobile gaming with their first title called Nightmare Guardians. Actually, they will be entering the multi-platform publishing arena as Nightmare Guardians will be released across tablets as well as on the web for people to play. With that said, you can probably already tell that this is a multiplayer game.
Two days ago Call of Duty fans were finally able to get their hands on the next installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series of games, appropriately named Black Ops II. Well along with this new release of Black Ops II, Activision have updated their Call of Duty Elite service to support their new Black Ops II game and that also means that the Elite application has also been update.
About a week and a half ago we talked about the next Minecraft: Pocket Edition update that would be heading our way soon. The developer of the rather popular Hard Line game for iOS and Android has hit up Kickstarter to help fund the final development of his next game called Fist Of Awesome. This epic sounding game is a retro style side-scrolling beat ’em up where you will be punching various woodland animals in the face. It’s alright to do that though since they are trying to do the same thing to you as well.
We all know that Madfinger Games’ newest multiplayer shooter is coming on the 15th November, but now they have also announced that the full game will be released with 10 playable characters, 6 maps and will be played across 2 game modes (deathmatch and capture point).
On Steam for PC, Beat Hazard has become one of the best Indie games, and now you can try the Android beta version before it hits the Play store. There are plenty of “bullet hell” shooters on Android, but Beat Hazard Ultra takes it to another level. You can pick your own music track to play while in game, and this then influences the difficulty of the level.
When Peter Molyneux and his new studio, 22 Cans, released their social game experiment Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube? the other day, they didn’t expect the response to be as overwhelming as it has been, having seen a much larger install and player base than originally expected. A lot of people want to know what is inside a cube and with Peter Molyneux promising it’ll blow your mind, I think everyone is a little bit curiosity as to what is in there.
