Fans of Zen Studio’s pinball platform called Zen Pinball have a new pinball table to look forward to playing next week. This new pinball table isn’t a Marvel themed one or anything like that, although it is based off of a cartoon. The official Archer themed pinball table will be arriving onto Zen Pinball for all platforms next week.

It’s not often when we get to write about a new game development engine becoming available, it’s a hard market to break into. There are the juggernaut engines out there right now that dominate developers and their time, like Unreal Engine 4 and Unity3D for example. However today is a day we do get to write about a new game engine, and this one is called MaxPlay.
Right now there are a few MOBA games being developed for mobile devices and it seems like more companies are going to try and become the dominate force in this genre of mobile gaming. GAEA Mobile has through their bid into the mix by announcing they will be unveiling their upcoming MOBA for mobile devices Ace of Arenas at E3 2015 next week.
Qualcomm has announced that they are selling off their augmented reality business called Vuforia for a cool $65 million. Unfortunately, if you were planning to head to the bank right now to withdraw $65 million to purchase Vuforia, it has already been purchased by PTC.
A lot of indie game developers have started to release their games on multiple platforms all at once, or shortly after one another. Part of the reason for this is because all of the markets for each platform, be it Android, iOS, PC, Browser-based, and even console, are much more accessible to smaller developers than they once used to be.

Back in June of this year we reported on a new interactive gamebook series that would be heading our way soon from Liber Primus Games, developers of the Narborion Saga series. This new gamebook series, however, is written by Richard Morgan whose previous includes writing Crysis 2 and Syndicate.

A new indie game will be heading to Android soon that will put players into the role of a fugitive snowman. The game is called Frosty the Assassin, and the goal is to stay alive for as long as you possibly can. While Frosty the Snowman takes on a bit more of a sinister role in this game, he also looks rather creepy as well.
Telltale Games’ popular series Tales from the Borderlands is unfortunately coming to a close soon. The company today announced when we can expect the Season Finale to arrive, which will be later this month. As hinted at during the company’s impromptu Q&A session recently on Twitter, this ending to the series is going to be a bit of a tearjerker apparently.
The developer of the ubiquitous Havok engine has a new home under the Microsoft banner. On October 2nd, the Redmond tech giant purchased the Dublin firm from Intel corps for an undisclosed sum of money. Swift to assuage industry fears that the move would bring the popular Havok engine in-house only, Microsoft put forth this statement on their blog.
