As I mentioned in the World of Dragons article about browser-based MMORPGs jumping into the mobile arena as one of the next trends, today an announcement was made that indeed another has made it’s way to mobile. While not the graphically pretty kind it is a great old school RPG game, called Lands of Hope, which you can now play via your Android browser.

itsmy is a mobile social game developer and gaming network featuring 80+ games people can play via your mobile browser however it was just announced that itsmy has expanded their mobile gaming engine to include every mobile device with internet access which of course includes our beloved Android OS!
World of Dragons is a browser based MMORPG that uses the FTP business model which is basically the same thing as Freemium. However this particular MMORPG has developed clients for mobile phones so users can play the game anywhere at anytime. It seems Android’s growth hasn’t been missed by the parent company, CorsairBrand, either as Android support is on its way.
It seems as though the market for 3D MMORPGs for Android is getting another player. Currently there is Vendetta Online which is making a fully interactive client for Android, Runes which is currently in limited open beta right now and we suspect the new DvideArts RPG will also be an MMO. You can now add Clockwork Runes by Bonafide Software onto this growing list now.
We have been following an MMORPG for Android that has been in development for quite some time now. While it seems as though it will always be in beta a new version was just released and includes a huge amount of improvements and changes including the overall look. Even better still is that there are still available spots open for beta testers should you want to sign-up!

As the battle for smartphone dominance continues between the iPhone’s iOS and Android with sales and activations, users will soon be able to take the battle into the gaming arena thanks to OpenFeint’s newest update to their SDK. Any game developer can add the OpenFeint SDK to their game to allow iPhone and Android users to compete against each other.
Is a Game Center type of feature coming to Android soon? It is a possibility and to understand exactly where this is coming from one has to look at both the recent purchases by Google dealing with social gaming as well the new App Inventor that is currently in beta. I just got accepted into the App Inventor beta and while looking around I stumbled onto an interesting feature.
Well it seems as though Skies of Glory’s release has gone exceptionally well and without a hitch, almost. Android users who own an Eris or Hero have been experiencing issues with the game which features live multiplayer across platforms so you can compete against iPhone users in real time. Official word just came down from SGN via their twitter account about the issue.
During Google I/O 2010 a game called Skies of Glory was shown running on a Droid. Since then we have also reported on Social Gaming Network, SGN for short, who developed Skies of Glory. Well this 3D aerial combat game is now available on the Android market and features cross-platform multiplayer which will allow you to dogfight and kill your iPhone enemies!
