Free-App-A-Day, or FAAD for short, has been running for some time now giving away free iPhone games. Recently they have expanding to include iPad titles and also with this expansion now comes Android Free-App-A-Day. However to start off this will be limited to once a week until it builds up enough where it can be once a day like the iPhone.

While Android already has a bunch of great emulators available for most gaming systems right down to the old school ZX Spectrum emulators and even a PS Emulator in the works, there isn’t a whole lot of systems left to cover. Capcom Play System 2 emulator, or CPS2 for short, now covers another system and is available in two versions depending on your screen resolution.

Kumpa, developed by Greenrobot, is a unique puzzle game where you use the accelerometer and tilt controls to move your ball around each stage. You have a certain amount of time to complete the requirements for whatever stage you are on before proceeding to the next. If time runs out you will have to start over again. There are all sorts of obstacles in the way of your success.
Gameloft was recently in the limelight and for not a good reason. Their DRM policy, if you remember, stated that once you bought a game from their website that you could not get another copy of it should you lose the original, for any reason. naturally angered pretty much everyone. Gameloft then announced they would change their DRM policy and now we have the details about it.
Developer AlBrAndroid who developed the great physics puzzle game RedX has released a new physics game called Drunk Ragdoll. In this game you have to remove objects below and around the Drunk Ragdoll so that it lands on the platform and remains there for a certain amount of time. If you miss the platform then it is game over.
The big news so far today is the announcement that OpenFeint will be coming to Android. OpenFeint is a social gaming network that enables developers to share leaderboards and achievements, buddy lists and other various social elements across various platforms such as iOS and now Android. This will also integrate Google Checkout and the release of Game Spotlight app.
Bendroid, developer of some major hit games such as the Mystique series and Tangram Pro, just released another game to add to their list called CarWash 3D. This is a traffic control type game where you guide cars into your carwash and make money. The contest is for the person who has the highest score across all three online high score boards will win a Motorola Droid.
Saint is a top-down arena style shooter game for Android. Developed by ComputerTimeCO, Saint is a mortal who has a talent in killing demons. You have an arsenal of weapons at your disposal and the support of Gods which allows you to obliterate the onslaught of demons coming after you. This game is purely about carnage and how much you can do with the weapons you get.
Cube Challenge, developed by Magma Mobile, is puzzle/strategy game where you have to eliminate all of the blocks on the screen as fast as you can. At first this sounds easy but to successfully remove blocks a few conditions have to be filled such as on certain stages you can only remove blocks in groups of three which adds to the overall challenge of the game.
