We haven’t had emulator news in a little while now but today that is going to change as a port of the Open Pandora DS Emulator called DraStic is making its way over to Android real soon. For those of you unfamiliar with this emulator, DraStic is a full speed DS Emulator which will let you play Nintendo DS games on your Android device.

Before we get into this I’ll let you feint right now and get it over with. Done? Alright moving along, yes a game from Nintendo is coming but it’s not actually from Nintendo. It’s a game from the Nintendo DS system, a rather popular one at that called Soul Bubbles.
Interesting statistics coming our way from Flurry which shows that between Android and iOS, the market share for the Nintendo DS and the Playstation portable are decreasing while the mobile phone gaming market share is increasing… greatly. In fact Nintendo’s DS lost a fairly large chunk of their market share when it comes to portable gaming.
As is expected this is a very early build but the developer did want to release this onto the Market and get some feedback. They are claiming that even in this early build the game runs quite a bit of games at decent speeds. From what we have researched so far, you’ll need a pretty decent/new Android device to run it though.
Tiger King has developed 6 other emulators for Android, mostly geared around Gameboy devices and general Nintendo devices. His newest emulator, Tiger Lab, is in very early beta development but he has decided to release it as more of a Proof-of-Concept. Tiger Labs is a Nintendo DS emulator.
