Google loves to add Easter Eggs to pretty much everything they release and so far it looks like every single one of them has been found… at least to everyone’s knowledge that is. Well Google’s newest application is no exception to the rule which means the Google Play Games app that arrived yesterday has an Easter Egg that has been discovered.

As with most Google I/O events that have happened so far, we get a lot of goodies announced for us to enjoy but there is always at least one service that gets an announcement that it will be shutting down and this year it will be Google+ Games. The service wasn’t exactly the most popular one Google has launched in the past but with the birth of Google Play Games, there really isn’t much of a need for Google+ Games at all.
Recently it was uncovered that the mobile application for Google+ had a games feature in it. While not even remotely close to being finished or functioning, the fact that it was there points to Google making their Google+ Games available for mobile devices. In a twist though, a couple of game developers have pulled their titles from Google+ Games.
Way back in June of 2011 we mentioned that games would be coming to Google+ thanks to some coding found inside Google+. Indeed, not too long after that, Google started releasing social games onto Google+. Now the same scenario is happening but this time it is with the Google+ mobile application.
More news coming out right now about Google+ Games and more specifically about Google+ Stream. Google+ Games will be on the way soon and a new find shows that Google+ Stream looks to be evolving into a Game Center type of area where your high scores and other social gaming features will be centralized and shared.
By now you’ve heard of Google+ in one way or another with all the news going on about it. If not, it is essentially Google’s social network but with hints going around about Google getting into games as well, it could very well become a lot more. Considering it is also available in the form of Android apps, things are getting interesting with a new snippet of code found in the source.
