Google yesterday re-branded the Android Market and it is now called Google Play. For those of you with a keen interest in all things Google, you may realize that this name sounds very familiar. That is because it is the same rumored name for the Nexus Tablet apparently in production we recently talked about.
So fresh off of the press is a new rumor which Android and Me are reporting on regarding the rumored Google’s 7-inch Nexus Tablet that would be selling for $199 when it is released, if it actually exists. According to two reliable sources that Android and Me spoke with at MWC 2012, Asus will be the company building the device.
We don’t usually post rumors and honestly this one is a bit farfetched but according to a supplier tipster that tipped off DigiTimes, Google is contacting hardware partners, encouraging them to consider new tablets and phones that will run Android 5.0.
Wish you can play the latest and greatest games without the expense of overpriced hardware? You’re in luck as Google recently announced a partnership with video game streaming company, OnLive. Steve Perlman, founder and CEO of OnLive, revealed on the official Google blog, plans to bring their program to Google TV enabled devices and television.
We usually don’t make it a habit to post about rumors or what ‘sources say’ most of the time but when it comes to the idea of a Google branded tablet (think Nexus tablet), we can’t help but get a little excited at the thought of one. It would be about damn time too that Google made one.
Just when you thought all the Nexus news would start to slow down, the Google Chairman and former CEO Eric Schmidt has decided to stir up the pot a little more by revealing that Google is working on a tablet of “the highest quality” which looks to be hitting the market in early 2012.
Today is the last day for the 10 billion downloads promo that has been going on for the past 9 days. Unfortunately there was no big finish to the promo but we certainly can’t complain about that as we got to nab a ton of games and some apps for a mere dime.
We only have two days left of this ten day promo from Google to celebrate passing the 10 billion downloads mark on the Android Market. Today is Day 9 and we have all new apps and games available for a mere dime and today’s selection is pretty good.
Well we are nearing the end of the promotion that Google is hosting to celebrate breaking the 10 billion downloads mark on the Android Market. Today is Day 8 and we only have two more days after this before the promotion ends and the sales stop.
