Hearthstone must be doing really good on mobile for Blizzard because the company is considering more mobile game releases, with deeper gameplay, as their next step in their plan to expand business. Blizzard is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week, having released quite a few games in that time but the biggest wins for them have been Warcraft (including World of Warcraft), Starcraft, Diablo, and Hearthstone.
Blizzard has announced today that they have some interesting changes heading to Hearthstone in the near future. One of the changes is actually something many Hearthstone players have been wanting, which is more deck slots. This will come in very handy with the other major feature being added to the game, which is game formats.
Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawls have so far been pretty fun. Actually the majority of them have actually been quite enjoyable. Today a new Tavern Brawl has begun and this particular one is all about the gift of giving this holiday season. Players can expect a visit from Greatfather Winter who will be dropping presents in Stormwind.
Blizzard has been doing the Winter Veil celebrations for awhile now, mainly in World of Warcraft. Hearthstone, on the other hand, is also going to be partaking in the Winter Veil celebrations this year as well. There’s plenty of goodies to be had in this celebration.
It’s the magical Hump Day today, or in other words it is Wednesday, which means the week is half over and the weekend draws near. Blizzard’s much anticipated Hearthstone expansion has finally arrived and right on time. After much teasing, including slowly revealing some of the 132 new cards between the time the company announced the Grand Tournament expansion and its actual arrival, The Grand Tournament has finally arrived yesterday afternoon. If you pre-purchased the expansion, you were also able to open up all those packs of cards that have been staring you in the face all this time.
Yesterday we reported on folks being able to preview some of the new cards that will be arriving with the Grand Tournament expansion by participating in this week’s Tavern Brawl. In that article we also stated that given previous history with Hearthstone and expansions, along with current internet rumors, that the official launch for this expansion is most likely going to happen on Monday. As it turns out, this is indeed true.
