In terms of brand cross-overs, franchises like Angry Birds and Puzzle & Dragons tend to do a lot of them. While this may get played out after awhile, especially with Angry Birds, once in awhile a cross-over does happen that is just plain cool and Temple Run 2 has started one that is just that. Enter the Temple (see what we did there?) with Bruce Lee!
Imangi Studios has pushed an update out onto Android yesterday that brings with it a new playable character. This new playable character comes in the form of six-time Olympic champion from Jamaica named Usain Bolt. This marks the first time an actual person has guest starred as a character in the Temple Run series.
While most Thursdays are usually all about a ton of game releases, this Thursday seems to be all about the updates instead. Yesterday we reported on the news that Imangi Studios and Disney had teamed up once again to bring the mobile gaming world another movie spin-off game that uses the Temple Run franchise like they did with Temple Run: Brave. As you may be guessing, the name of this new game is Temple Run: Oz.
While this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for anyone really, it is still interesting to check out the numbers involved with something like this. Apparently Imangi Studios’ Temple Run 2 which just recently came out on Android has broken the record for the fastest growing mobile game ever with over 50 million downloads across iOS, Android and Kindle Devices in 13 days.
The moment all of you Temple Run fans out there have been waiting for since word got out last week that a sequel was on the way has finally arrived. Imangi Studios has released Temple Run 2 right on time onto Google Play and considering this game is just as popular on Android as it is on iOS, we should see download numbers similar to what the iOS launch pulled in with around 20 million download in four days.
Yesterday we talked about Imangi Studios’ new game which happens to be a sequel to their rather popular continuous running game Temple Run. Aside from all the details about the game we talked about, word on the street was that Temple Run 2 would be hitting the Google Play store sometime next week.

So why in the hell are we talking about it? Because you know this game will also make its way to Android in the near future as well.
