Phandroid just posted an article where the developers of the Infinity Blade title for iOS and the upcoming sequel, Infinity Blade 2, talk about Android and why the series won’t come to Android, at least for now citing piracy issues as the only real reason. While piracy happens everywhere, we believe there is more to this than simple piracy concerns.
A few days ago Glu Mobile released an Infinity Blade style of game called Blood & Glory which was basically a Roman Gladiator type of arena game made with Unreal Engine. While the game itself is pretty fun to play, albeit freemium, there was one thing missing from the game, actual blood.
One of the games Glu mentioned in a recent announcement that would be coming to Android is a title called Blood & Glory. Well there wasn’t a whole lot of information about this game aside from it being described as a head-to-head 3D combat game. Well we know a lot more now. Why? Because it’s now available on the market.
Two days ago I posted about the iOS game developed by Chair Entertainment which used Unreal Engine 3. Even though this game is for the iOS it gives us a glimpse as to what we could expect to see when games start coming out for the Android platform using Unreal Engine 3. Well today the official trailer for the game was unveiled, begin drooling.
Infinity Blade by Epic made using Unreal Engine 3 preview – idea on how it will look on Android devices?
While iOS is enjoying some Unreal Engine 3 love, first with Epic Citadel and now the announcement of RPG game called Infinity Blade, the screenshots released give us a better look into what we can expect when we start seeing Android games made with Unreal Engine 3. Some already are being made such as Dungeon Defenders.
