Today Daniel Kaplan posted on the Mojang blog about what is coming up in the near future for Android and iOS version of Minecraft. While we have had it on Android for awhile, iOS only recently got the game and the plan is to get the iOS version on par with the Android one to make development easier. There is one small bug fix the iOS version needs before that is happening.

The first ever MineCon has just ended and while it was mostly geared towards the PC/Console end of things, including the official final out-of-beta release of the actual game, there were some gems in there regarding Minecraft: Pocket Edition. We already knew some of this would be coming but it’s nice to here is again.
So today is a big day for Minecraft in all of it’s forms but mostly regarding console and PC as the first MineCon ever is slated to kick off today in a couple of hours. Aside from the official release of Minecraft minus the Beta tag is slated for today, there is going to be plenty of other Minecraft news as well.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been out for a little over a month for all Android devices and since then I’ve been playing with it on my phone and tablets. If you follow Minecraft on any level, you know it’s been in beta for a very long time for the PC although it’s getting ready for it’s final release any day now.
While we wait for more submission to come rolling in for us to show off, one of our readers sent us one of their most recent statues he had made which is a giant old school Mega Man. When we say big, we mean this is pretty damn big.
Thanks to Minecraft: Pocket Edition coming onto all other Android devices, we have had quite the fun time posting these builds that people are sending us. Hell we should have started this back when it was Xperia Play exclusive. Today we have some fresh new builds to show off with some more gaming themed love.
As we’ve mentioned to all our readers who happen to also be Minecraft fans, especially now that it’s available on all Android 2.2 devices, to keep sending us the amazing things they are building whether it be a huge palace or whatever else you think is impressive that you’ve built.

Well it sure didn’t take long for some of our readers to snatch up a copy of Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android after the update on Friday that made is accessible to non-Xperia Play Android 2.2 devices and start building big things inside of it.
After a short delay of about a week, Minecraft developers Mojang have fixed whatever the nasty little bug that was plaguing the non-Xperia Play version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition which ended up getting last week’s release of this game to everyone else delayed.
