Back in May we talked about an upcoming 3D multiplayer cross-platform strategy combat game called Champs: Battlegrounds and that it would be heading to Android, iOS and PC in the near future. While the PC version has been available for a short period of time, the Android and iOS versions are now available as well on their respective app stores.

A couple of days ago a game called Nakama was released onto iOS for iPhone users to play. Nakama is a rather cool retro looking side-scrolling arcade game featuring ninjas and the good news about this game is that it will be arriving onto Android courtesy of Crescent Moon Games.
There are already two Anomaly games out on mobile and soon we will be getting a third one as well. Back in February of this year we talked about Anomaly 2, the official sequel to the Anomaly franchise, but back then it was only confirmed for PC release. Having been on Steam for a bit now, 11 Bit Studios has been working on bringing the game to Android and iOS, something they said they wanted to do back in February.
Sony is bringing some of the most recognizable characters from their games over to Android (and iOS) in a Playstation All-Stars game called officially called Playstation All-Stars Island. The game is currently available on Google Play but for whatever particular reason it is exclusive to Europe right now.
Last month we reported on the fact that an official version of Transport Tycoon would be making its way to Android. Unfortunately we just didn’t know when it would be made available. Well it looks as though the game is coming along quite nicely as the official beta sign-ups for Transport Tycoon are now live.
With XBMC for Android soon being available for both Android devices as well as the Ouya and GameStick consoles, the developers have been hard at work adding new features to the application. In the latest pre-release build, XBMC now comes with support for Apple’s Airplay as well as a variety of other new features and fixes.
Last week we reported on the fact that R2 Games were gearing up to publish their first mobile game called Excalibur. This company usually specializes in browser-based MMO games and Excalibur marks their first jump into the mobile gaming scene. Excalibur is a side-scrolling MMORPG and the alpha version of it has just been released onto Google Play.
Larva Labs has been around on Android for a long time and have made some pretty addictive games in that time. One of those games happens to be a series called Gurk which, up until now, had two installments available. Well it has been somewhat quiet over at Larva Labs but the silence has been broken as the company has released Gurk III officially and not in the beta form that was up on Google Play for a bit.
It’s Wednesday and therefor it is time for another mid-week round-up of Android games that happen to be on sale right now. There are a few new titles to the list from last week’s round-up while some other titles have ended their sale. The list still has some good quality games that you’ll want to check out though.

GamesCom 2013 is coming up pretty quickly and this particular convention surrounding video games has expanded greatly over the past couple of years in regards to hosting developers who make mobile games. This year should be even bigger and we are already getting news about games that can be played on mobile devices. One such game is called SteamPower1830 by Hexagon Game Labs but this won’t be a game where you’ll be able to get it off Google Play.
