Back near the beginning of this month Gamelion released the sequel to their rather popular arcade shooter game Monster Shooter. Well to coincide with the unveiling of the new Nexus devices, Gamelion has launched Monster Shooter 2: Back to Earth on a worldwide scale now, ending the location-specific soft launch it has been in over the past couple of weeks.

While Google’s press event had the new Nexus 7 tablets as the headliner for the event, that wasn’t the only news to come out of the press breakfast. Aside from the official announcement of Android 4.3, Google also officially announced that a Google Play Games application would be launching today. This is something that a lot of people were hoping would actually see the light of day.
More news coming out from Nvidia during SIGGRAPH 2013 but this time instead of it being hardware related with showing off their upcoming Kepler GPU along with Project Logan which, when their forces are combined, create Voltron… I mean Tegra 5. This bit of news is in regards to software being shown off running on the Kepler GPU and it isn’t some little game engine or anything like that.
While there are ways to skin your little guy in Minecraft: Pocket Edition, it is a bit on the technical side when it comes to actually implementing them. Once you get the hang of it though you can add skins pretty quickly as well as other UI tweaks. Eventually an application landed on iOS called Minecraft Skin Studio which allows users to create skins for their little guy in Minecraft while on the go.
Ubisoft’s next release from the Prince of Persia franchise has finally arrived onto Google Play this morning. In fact the game was actually slated for release tomorrow July 25h but instead has shown up a day early. This isn’t just a quick port of this game to mobile either as the Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame has had its controls, graphics and gameplay redesigned and modernized for touchscreens.
The old school style arcade brawler from The Game Bakers is getting a new challenger soon and according to the developers it may be someone you already know. That is because this new challenger is apparently already appearing in a Capcom game as well. In other words there is a Capcom character that will be making its way to Combo Crew soon.
GREE and Marvel have partnered together and are going to be releasing a comic book tie-in game called X-Men: Battle of the Atom. Marvel has a cross-over comic book event that will be happening soon and this game will be tied into it when the event starts. The overall storyline behind everything, without spoiling it, has to do with the history of the X-Men and players will be experiencing 50 years of mutant X-Men history and beyond.
Back near the beginning of this month Writers’ Film Group Corp went ahead and bought Amiga Games Inc, a company that republishes classic Amiga games onto new platforms such as smartphones and tablets. Writers’ Film Group Corp is a company that specializes in a few things but one of their main focuses is digital content distribution so picking up Amiga Games Inc is something that makes sense since they were wanting to expanding in to the mobile gaming markets.
Cave is a company that makes some of the great and most challenging Bullet Hell style shooters that you would want to play. They already have a couple of them published onto Google Play through G-Gee and now there is one more you can sink your teeth into while you wait for Sine Mora to arrive onto Android called DeathSmiles. It somehow managed to sneak by us having arrived on July 17th, 2013.
The other day we reported on Vector Unit and the fact that they were holding a live IAmA over on Reddit where they were answering questions. That is where they also officially announced the release date for the sequel to their very awesome water racing game Riptide. Well today is that day and Riptide GP 2 has arrived right on time which should make a lot of you happy.
