A new game from Gushiku Studios landed on the Android Market last week called DB42. Featuring a robot similar to R2D2 and portal style game mechanics, this 2D platform puzzler is a pretty interesting game that will actually require you to think.

Will Wright, the creator of games such as The Sims and Sim City, announced in November 2011 a new game he has been working on called HiveMind. This particular game would be a cross-platform, cross-media game that you can literally play on just about every platform.We now know that this includes mobile phones and tablets as well.
Trion Worlds, developers of the RIFTS MMORPG for the PC, recently released quite the impressive little app for the game which allows users to do all sorts of cool stuff in-game including talking to friends and guild mates who are either in the game or using the app as well.

Gameloft has put all their titles on the Android Market on sale for $0.99 to celebrate the New Years, well actually it was all except one. Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation FPS game from Gameloft was the only title to retain it’s full pricing. Gameloft had said they would put it on sale during the main sale for only a day at $0.99 but didn’t say when.
Today Amazon has another free game up for grabs for those of you who have access to their App Store. This time around it is a game called Beaver’s Revenge by Twisted Games which is an Angry Birds clone although it does come with some interesting differences.
In concept Wavecrest Entertainment’s new game, Tree Jumper, isn’t really new as it is similar to games like Mega Jump, however, it does feature some new mechanics that are not really found in similar titles plus the graphics are pretty polished as well.
Rovio has just released a nice little video wishing everyone a happy New Years for 2012.
