Today Daniel Kaplan posted on the Mojang blog about what is coming up in the near future for Android and iOS version of Minecraft. While we have had it on Android for awhile, iOS only recently got the game and the plan is to get the iOS version on par with the Android one to make development easier. There is one small bug fix the iOS version needs before that is happening.

The first ever MineCon has just ended and while it was mostly geared towards the PC/Console end of things, including the official final out-of-beta release of the actual game, there were some gems in there regarding Minecraft: Pocket Edition. We already knew some of this would be coming but it’s nice to here is again.
Last week we reported on Minecraft: Pocket Edition coming to all other Android devices today. So far the update hasn’t hit the Android Market and we now know why. According to Daniel Kaplan of Mojang, they found a nasty bug in Minecraft: Pocket Edition which needs to be fixed before it’s released.
Danial Kaplan from Mojang has released some pretty awesome information for Minecraft fans who own Android devices that are not of the Xperia Play variety moments ago on Twitter. Through a post on Twitter which included a video, we can see Minecraft: Pocket Edition with touch screen controls.
We are not exactly sure on how many of these Mojang plan to sell and as of right now there is only one listed on eBay. What device are we talking about? It is a limited edition Minecraft themed Xperia Play that Mojang is selling on eBay right now and currently has 41 bids on it.

It will also be available for all Android devices roughly a month after the Xperia Play exclusive time frame. Markus Persson, Head Mojang man, has released a couple of screenshots of the Endermen, the new creepy mob coming to Minecraft.
One of the big things we are looking forward to is hitting up the Sony Ericsson event at E3 this year where Mojang and friends will be demonstrating and announcing (officially) Minecraft for the Xperia Play. This will be temporarily exclusive to the Xperia Play for a short period of time.
Minecraft developers new game, Scrolls, looking at mobile versions as well as PC, that includes Android.
Mojang, developers of the extremely popular PC game Minecraft which is also now heading to Android, have talked about their new upcoming game called Scrolls. While Scrolls is a completely different type of game from Minecraft, developers have already stated that the game will be for PC and a version for mobile as well.
