So, we have been waiting for Zenonia 2 for awhile now and although we got confirmation from Gamevil that it will be out for Android in the coming weeks, it hasn’t arrived yet. However, interestingly enough, word is that a few lucky people out in Korea are already playing Zenonia 3! While we sit here stewing in jealousy over this, where is Zenonia 2?
Popular iOS publisher/developer, Artificial Life, will be bringing 30+ titles over to Android starting in early 2011. Artificial Life has made and published a variety of applications and games for iOS that have become quite popular. Some big name companies have had games published through them as well including Adult Swim, Overture Films, and more.
All your traffic control style game lovers out there have something to be happy about. Instead of the usual ‘do not let accidents happen’ type of traffic control, whether it is with cars or airplanes, Astral Commander throws in a sci-fi twist with robots and Starcraft style mining goals. Control your robots, collect mines to complete each stage!
A new game is out and is being dubbed the first ‘Picnic Defense’ simulator by the developers, Mediatonic. This game is like Angry Birds but the birds are the bad guys and instead of pigs, you use Nomster, a kirby looking creature to defend your picnic from the greedy birds who are trying to nabbed all the good stuff.
It’s good to see some more quality platform games hitting the Android Market. A new one released a couple of days ago by Carbon Crystal Games called Droid Odyssey looks like another very promising one to add to the list. Currently in beta form, this game offers up classic platform-style gaming but with a twist!
Com2Us has just released their very popular puzzle game, Slice It!, onto the Android platform. However, unlike Com2Us’ previous Android game releases, this time around they have decided to only make it available on GetJar. While not a complete snub of the Android Market, it is interesting that they took this route.
Another wave of Android games with OpenFeint is set to be unleashed onto the Android Market today. While not as big as previous waves, this one has a total of 8 games, officially, set to land on the market today. I say officially because usually there are a few more developers who time their games with OpenFeint to come out during these waves.
Gamelion has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming game called I Must Run! which will be released onto the Android platform, along with iOS and Playstation Minis, very soon. While little is known about this game… well actually nothing is known about this game. From what we could dig up, you have 24 hours in the game to save your girl.
In the style of games like Gravity Lander, Farm Tower brings physics gameplay to your Android phone but with farm animals instead of 2D retro spaceships. The object of the game is to get the farm animal(s) safely to the ground, almost. You have to keep them on one block above ground for a few seconds before you can move on to the next level.
The title’s a lie, since cows can fly! But they definitely can’t swim… Roll and hop your strangely-shaped cow toward the portal, physics-style, using Bongo-gravity as your guide. But, don’t forget the stars!
