Google’s Andy Rubin sat down with PC Mag to talk about Android in general from the current status of it to the future version of Android “3.0”, a.k.a Gingerbread. Gaming on Android came up in his answers and it look that Google hasn’t been ignoring it as Andy Rubin comes straight out and says that Android gaming has been underserved so far.

Electrotank’s new Electroserver ES5 for mobile gaming

Well here’s a good sign that mobile gaming is being taken seriously and Android is included in all of it: Electrotank has just announced their new Electroserver ES5, which is built to support mutliplayer games played across Flash, Unity3D, iOS and Android. Flying Orbies released with OpenFeint Integrated

AlBrAndroid, the developer who brought Drunk Ragdoll and the Red X physics game just released a new title called Flying Orbies. With Flying Orbies comes OpenFeint which is steadily appearing in almost every game release right now. This is another physics game where you need to destroy all the Orbits of the same type, sort of a logic puzzle/physics game.

Adobe Air now available – Flash gaming now solidified

As Adobe had previously announced, AIR is now available on the Android Market. AIR will allow developers to run AS3, ActionScript 3 in other words, natively on Android devices. Between this and Flash 10.1 support Flash gaming on your Android device has now been solidified. Developers can now port their flash games over and put them on the market.
