Glu Mobile has just released the second Guitar Hero game for Android called Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The first Guitar Hero game saw some good success on the Android market so this one should be well received. One new feature coming in Warriors of Rock is that all song are full length song and high quality ones at that.
Sky Force by Infinite Dreams was one of the games I had mention to definitely try in our article about the second wave of OpenFeint games heading to the Android market the other day. Well it is now available with OpenFeint integated into it and to celebrate it is now on sale for a short time! This makes Sky Force slightly more awesome then it originally was.
It seems OpenFeint and developers using it are not the only ones who have been busy these days. Polarbit and partner Fabrication Games have been hard at work with one game being released the other week and two more today. 8ball and Zap just landed on the market today with 8ball being a new pool game while Zap is a lot like Bust-A-Move.
Rovio just released a statement regarding the full version of Angry Birds for Android that should make everyone happy… not. We’ve all been waiting for the full version with growing impatience, eager to kill more pigs and destroy buildings. Well, according to Rovio, the release of the full version has been pushed to next week.
So the rumored Droid Tegra 2 phone, or Droid T2 as it has been dubbed, has been confirmed by Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha at GDC 2011 Online (Austin, TX). This little tidbit of awesomeness was scored by Taylor over at Android and Me who happens to be attending the conference. With a Tegra 2 inside, this could be a true Android gaming phone.
Well here’s some shocking news coming from the xda-developers forums – according to what we have learned so far, the G2 will ‘repair’ itself when rebooted if you root it. While not completely gaming related, we do have a lot of ROM users who are into Android gaming, so think of this as a PSA.
We always try to find unique and interesting games to talk about and when it comes to Tower Defense games developers are always trying to come up with new ways to enhance the same enjoyment a large amount of us find in this sort of genre. Meet Zombie Defense by Dromedary LLC which is a neat 3D-ish tower defense game with zombies!
It seems that another push from GetJar in support of Android gaming is under way with the recent announcement that they have teamed up with Glu Mobile to offer some of their best paid games for free. A couple of the titles available are Built-a-lot, which is a Sim City style game and Stranded: Mysteries of Time, which is an action game with Dinosaurs.
Only a couple of weeks ago, at the most, we saw OpenFeint release a flurry of games onto the Android Market as well as their OpenFeint Spotlight App. Promising up to 20 games to be released within a months time their first wave of games came out strong with titles like Fruit Ninja and MiniSquadron and today the second wave begins.
Remember Cestos from Chickenbrick Studios? It was one of the more popular games back in the earlier days of Android with the ability to have multiplayer games.
