The NVDIA Shield Tablet is receiving a new update today, that brings more “enhancements and fixes” to the device. It will be available for both the 16 GB Wi-Fi model and the 32 GB LTE model, which launches today.

The first of Nvidia’s line of gaming-centric Android devices, the Nvidia Shield has done pretty good for itself. There are still a couple of items being tweaked though regarding the device’s software and Nvidia has kept working on supporting the device and today we get Update 92 which fixes some of these software issues.
Though my focus here will be generally pointed at games that fully leverage the stand-out features of the Shield tablet, for now I’m controller-less so I decided to poke around the Tegra Zone in search of a more simply controlled game. Since Badland was the first one I ran into and, hey, it was free, I gave it a quick download and started out knowing absolutely nothing about what I was in for.

Nvidia’s GeForce Experience 2.1.1 for PC is available for download. Now with support for the Shield Tablet.
Nvidia’s set of utilities for the PC, called the GeForce Experience, has had an updated pushed out to it which brings some improvements all around to features like ShadowPlay as well as bringing additional support overall for the Nvidia Shield Tablet.
This is probably the fastest we’ve seen a device going from announcement to launch, at least when it comes to Nvidia. They are definitely not wasting any time with getting their new Shield Tablet into the hands of Android gamers and today customers in Canada and the US are having their units shipped out.

It is an amusing sight to see two individuals huddled over a board as the chess pieces are slowly pulled off, one at a time, and set aside as a testament to each individual’s skill and prowess. Pure Chess by developer VooFoo Studios and publisher Ripstone have made it possible to make it even easier to take your game of chess with you wherever you go and you don’t have to worry about losing any of the pieces.
Previously released on PC and PlayStation 4, War Thunder will be coming to Tegra K1 devices including the Shield Tablet. War Thunder is an expansive WWII MMO that has players piloting planes on either the Allies or the Axis side.
Trine 2: Complete Story is now available for $13.95 on the Google Play Store. However it is only compatible with Tegra K1 Android devices, which is so far only the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 Tablet, but that will change in one week when the Shield Tablet is released. Trine 2 has been featured on many platforms in the past. Besides its initial release on PC, it has been on PS3 and Xbox 360.
