We have been following the progress of the Lollipop update since it was announced that the Nvidia Shield Tablet would be the first commercial product outside of the new Nexus series of devices that would be receiving the new Android OS. Well the update is right on time and is now being pushed out to Nvidia Shield owners.

Today Nvidia has made a trio of announcement regarding their Shield Tablet and all of it is good news for owners of these tablets. First, and we all knew this was coming anyways from previous teasing from Nvidia, Lollipop will be arriving for the Shield Tablet this month, more specifically November 18th, 2014. So basically in five days we should get the new Android OS.

It would probably be Disney-Pixar and the wonderful stories and animation that they have created. If you are a fan of any of those movies you are in luck. Steel Wool Games is a new studio created by five artists that have been working in the animation industry for many years. With the aid of Ripstone Publishing, Steel Wool Games will release their first project, Flyhunter Origins this summer. It will be available for Android and Tegra powered devices in addition to other platforms. The game is prominently displayed as one to play on the new Nvidia Shield tablet.
Nvidia has pushed out a new update for the older brethren of the Shield Tablet today. The Shield Portable has had update 99 pushed to it and this particular update features battery improvement, bug fixes and some other issues being resolved as well.
Nvidia is gearing up to release the new version of the Android OS called Lollipop onto the company’s Shield Tablet soon and yesterday they released a video showing off Lollipop on said tablet along with some of the cool features we can expect to see when it arrives as an OS update using the Simple Software Update feature on the tablet.
Flyhunter Origins is a game we reported on not too long ago back in July of this year. Developed by Steel Wool Games, in partnership with Riptide Publishing, Flyhunter Origins is Steel Wool’s first game release and if you happen to be living in Canada, you now have the ability to download the game before anyone else in what is basically a soft release.

Unreal Engine 4 built Epic Of Kings will be arriving for the Nvidia Shield Tablet in early 2015
Developers going by the name of Dead Mage have announced that they are currently working on bringing Epic Of Kings to the Nvidia Shield Tablet sometime early next year. While this is being announced for the Nvidia Shield Tablet, there is also mention that it will be arriving for Android in general as well although most likely for the higher end devices.
