Just to round up our coverage of the Xperia Play, today we have some new videos of gameplay of various games such as Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave and Galaxy of Fire 2. This is thanks to Sony Ericsson uploading a bunch of them to their YouTube channel and if you plan to get an Xperia Play, you should probably watch these.
I’m sure everyone was ready for the onslaught of Xperia Play news that was going to happen once the official announcement was made yesterday so here is yet another article about the Xperia Play. This time though it is just a list for everyone to use as reference so they know which carriers will be stocking it at release time.
While we didn’t think that this would be possible right off the jump or even at all, it is always good to get confirmation on these things. When it comes to the Xperia Play, anything you’ve bought or will buy on the Playstation Network, will not be transferable to the Xperia Play. This includes any retro Playstation One games.
Yesterday Sony Ericsson officially unveiled the Xperia Play Android gaming phone at MWC 2011 and so far everyone’s impression of it has been a positive one. While the phone will be available in early Spring, the initial selection of games that will be available for the Xperia Play is already looking fairly impressive.
Well it seems the Xperia Play got a ton of exposure this weekend both during the Super Bowl and in other venues as well. Remember the commercial that got spotted last week? Well the full version was aired during the Super Bowl yesterday and it is still a pretty twisted looking commercial. Check out the full commercial after the break.
Apparently there is a phone that will play Playstation games and have a slide-out controller made by Sony Ericsson called the Xperia Play. This never before seen, mentioned, previewed, fondled, video taped, leaked, dismantled Android phone will most likely be unveiled officially at MWC 2011 coming up in ten days time.
Alright so by now we all know that the Xperia Play exists and we’ve seen the insides of it, seen it in action playing games and even watched Engadget fondle it. Now to really solidify the fact it is real, since Sony Ericsson keeps saying it is not, we now have an official commercial about the Xperia Play!
While we enjoy saying the ‘Sony Android Playstation phone’, the official name is the Xperia Play and is a lot shorter to say. Taking that into account, the Xperia Play is probably the worst kept secret in Android history so far with the amount of leaks, videos, hands-on and so on which is impressive considering the phone doesn’t exist.
After the recent in-depth look at the Sony Playstation Android phone by a Chinese website, which ended up being posted about everywhere but here (sorry CES had me running!), it seems that this little device, dubbed the Xperia Play/Zeus/Z1, is becoming less camera shy each week. Another site now has new photos for your viewing pleasure.
What week wouldn’t be complete without some sort of new information regarding the Sony Android Playstation phone, the Zeus/Z1/Xperia Play depending on what you believe it’ll be called. This week it is showing up though holding hands with an Xperia X10 to give you an idea of the scale/size of this Android device.
