Up until now the Playstation Suite SDK has been in a closed beta but as of today it is now being opened up to more developers and the status is being changed to an open beta. The Playstation Suite SDK is a set of tools developers can use to create games for Playstation Certified devices whether it be the PS Vita or the Sony Tablet S and everything in between.

As promised by Sony awhile ago, we are starting to see more and more Playstation One games making their way to the Playstation store for certified devices. Over the past few days a total of eleven new PSOne games have been released onto the store.
Good news for those of you out there that own a Playstation Certified Android device and would much rather have some original games instead of the porting of Playstation 1 games. Sony has confirmed at the Mobile World Congress, which is going on right now, that original content will be coming to the Playstation Suite soon.
Well here is something right out of left field this morning. Apparently HTC will be working on Playstation certified Android devices this year, at least according to sources that has confirmed this in a report by Pocket-Lint. Even though it is ‘confirmed’ by sources, we are throwing the rumor tag on this one.
If you’re one of the few sporting a Playstation Certified device (we can count all of them in one hand), then consider freeing up some space in your tablet or phone as Sony plans to add four new titles on the Playstation Suite.

Here is an interesting story and a possible glimpse into the future of how all the Sony Playstation announcements for Android will all come together in one nice little package. Currently only available on the newer certified Android devices from Sony like the S Tablet, the PSN app has now been tweaked to run on the Xperia Play.
The Tokyo Game Show came with much more news for mobile gaming than we thought it would which is always nice and among the news was Sony’s announcement of the Playstation Suite SDK for developing games for Playstation Certified devices and a more vague announcement of a push for content on those devices.
