PopCap Games has announced a partnership with Sony Ericsson which will see Chuzzle, Peggle and Plants vs Zombies come pre-installed on the Xperia Mini and the Xperia Mini Pro Android devices. This means that European owners of these devices will be the first to actually get PopCap games to play.
PopCap games have finally released their third title onto the Android platform, again through the Amazon App Store. This also makes it today’s free game of the day over at the Amazon App Store so if you have access to it, and have been wanting this game, now is a good time to go get it.
You will see PopCap Games and their titles available for a wide variety of platforms which now include Android but according to PopCap, developing for Android has been a bit of a struggle. So what has caused this struggle for PopCap Games? The variety of Android devices currently out.
Awhile back when news about PopCap getting into the mobile gaming arena with Android broke, two games were mentioned. One was Plants vs Zombies while the other one was Peggle. Out of left field arrived Chuzzle first with Plants vs Zombies next in line. PopCap has also now dropped hints that Peggle is to arrive shortly.
As we mentioned yesterday, PopCap Games is finally releasing a couple of titles on Android. While Plants vs Zombies is slated for ‘later this month’, Chuzzle was set to launch today and indeed it has. It will be available exclusively on the Amazon App Store until May 30th. After that it will be available on the Android Market.
So it seems as though PopCap Games has finally decided to release Plants vs Zombies and Chuzzle onto the Android platform. While we have been hearing that this would be coming soon for quite some time now, PopCap Games has released actual launch details. These two games may actually get released!
