One game a lot of people have bee waiting for is the sequel to EA and Popcap’s rather popular defense game Plants vs Zombies. This sequel has already been available on iOS for a short period of time after multiple delays pushed the game’s release back quite a bit. Even with the iOS release, Android users have been waiting for some time to get this game.

Well some bad news for those of you who were looking forward to the imminent release of Plants vs Zombies 2. According to a tweet from the official Plants vs Zombies Twitter account, the game has been delayed with a new release date simply being “later this Summer”.
Today PopCap has released new details and a new trailer regarding the upcoming sequel for their rather popular game Plants vs Zombies. Officially titled Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time, the original trailer for the game featured a bunch of people complaining that it is about time that the sequel is finally getting released. In truth, the “It’s About Time” slogan is a good play on words since Plants vs Zombies 2 will feature different locations around the world during different time periods.
EA is always at E3 2013 and apparently they might just have a Plants vs Zombies 2 demo there to check out. However, before all hell breaks loose in LA in a couple of weeks, it appears that EA and PopCap want to have a little fun and have created a mock-up, posting it on Twitter, of what Plants vs Zombies would look like if it was combined with Mass Effect, officially being called Grass Effect.
Recently Popcap confirmed that aside from all that is going on with layoffs and whatnot that Plants vs Zombies 2 is still a thing and is still coming to Android. Today the company has released a preview trailer announcing an official release date, sort of, but the trailer doesn’t feature any gameplay.
It was only a matter of time before EA brought Popcap’s Bejeweled Blitz over to Android for Bejeweled fans to kill all their free time with. Actually it is surprising that this game hadn’t made it way to Android before now. Regardless of that, it is here now and match-3 puzzle fans can now dive into this new Bejeweled game on their Android devices.
Recently it was uncovered that the mobile application for Google+ had a games feature in it. While not even remotely close to being finished or functioning, the fact that it was there points to Google making their Google+ Games available for mobile devices. In a twist though, a couple of game developers have pulled their titles from Google+ Games.
Barely 24 hours after posting that PopCap’s two hit games, Peggle and Plants vs Zombies, happen to be on their way to the Android Market they actually show up and are now available for download. Up until now both games had been exclusive to the Amazon App Store.
Remember last week we told you about a dance-off that would be happening today at GamesCom between the Android Robot and the PopCap zombie? Well the dance-off happened and while normally something like this would fit right into our ‘Awesomeness’ series, it ended up fitting into the ‘Humor’ series instead.
