SNK Playmore has been steadily releasing ports of some of their most popular franchises and games in their catalog onto Android for awhile now. This includes the King of Fighters franchise, the Meta Slug franchise, the Raiden franchise and so on. If you’ve missed picking any of these games up for whatever reason, you might want to consider grabbing the ones you want now.
Humble Mobile Bundles have happened a few times on the Humble Bundle website, but now they should be a more common occurrence, with a dedicated Mobile tab added to the Humble Bundle Website. The first Bundle being offered is one from SEGA.
Last week the newest Humble Mobile Bundle was launched with six pretty decent games. As with all Humble Bundles, a week has passed and now there are three additional games that have been added to it. These three new games are Carmageddon, Time Surfer and the somewhat unusual Llamas with Hats Cruise Catastrophe.
DotEmu is a publisher that specializes in re-releasing older PC games for modern play. They have a decent sized offering on Google Play that include the Metal Slug series, and Another World. They have put two of their offerings on sale in conjunction with Google’s Summer Sale for Play. The games that they’re discounting are R-Type II and the Double Dragon Trilogy.
Noodlecake is a developer studio that specializes in games of many types. Among others types, they publish pixelated, retro-style platformers like Random Heroes and League of Evil. Today, they have released another game in that genre called Devious Dungeon, for $1.99.
Square Enix, the company that makes all the Final Fantasy games we know and love, has put a few of their highly priced (and prized, if you ask me) games on sale. Normally, these games come in around $15 or $16 dollars, two of their offerings are now being sold for 50% off of their normal price.
King of Fighters 98: Dream Match Never Ends was a 2D fighting game release in (surprise!) 1998 by SNK. Originally released on the Neo Geo, it later was ported to the PlayStation as well as the Dreamcast. What makes this fighting game unique is that it contains all the fighters from releases that came prior to this one, including those that had died in their story arc (which was rebooted with the subsequent release).
Kemco drops Band of Monsters price to free to celebrate Machine Knight breaking a million downloads
Kemco has had one of their games break the covenant 1 million downloads mark and actually this is the first time the company has broken that milestone with one of their titles. The game that has accomplished this goal is Machine Knight which was released back in November 2012. So this isn’t just because Machine Knight is one of their older Android games, although it probably helps. It also probably helps that it is one of Kemco’s very few free titles.
Gango Games and Fabraz have crafted a game with depth and a robust amount of fun based on a simple concept and a myriad of pixels. Cannon Crasha was released earlier this month in the Play Store. The goal of the game is uncomplicated; destroy your enemy’s castle. The way you choose to do that surprisingly, is based on an array of options and strategic implementation. This is what makes Cannon Crasha a blast to play.
